I hear you! I wanted to as well, and I didn’t even have any major issues or hurdles to cross. I was sick of details, sick of watching what I ate, sick of thinking about one single day.
But. Now on the other side- I am so glad that I did have a family wedding with friends, coworkers, and family present. Although I didn’t think about it before, I realize it now. My family is relatively spread out, and it was so, so special to see all my family, friends, coworkers along with those of my husbands meeting, having a good time, and celebrating us.
I doubt all those people from different stages in our lives will ever come together again! It was completely worth it. It’s been said by a ton of brides before, but I’ll say it again- relax. No one notices half the things that go wrong unless you point them out. It should be a fun day, you should dance with your new husband, eat your food, and smile for pictures. 🙂 And blow bubbles! Wedding picture attached 🙂

Very well said, I honestly feel the same way and have always toyed with the idea of eloping – but thank you for the encouragement and reminder that everything will be worth it!
Congratulations!!! You guys look so inlove 🙂

Congrats! & I’m not tired of planning the wedding…I’m tired of the people involved in the wedding. It seems like I can please no one here lately and I am about to lose my mind!

I eloped… but we’re still having a big wedding in October. Not sure I would recommend it.. We got married a few days ago and it didn’t really feel like anything. I mean, of course we were happy but it wasn’t the huge family affair I had always wanted.
Had I have had another choice I definitely wouldn’t have done it this way… but thanks to the military it was pretty much the only way.
