i just got a new license and my weight finally matches up. but before it said i weighed 140 and during the 5 years I had that license I weighed as much as 185 (yikes) down to 126 (current). so how far off is yours currently? or is it right on? A friend of mine got her license at a very high weight and then lost close to 100lbs, so hers was WAY off. I'm just curious to see how close everyone else is to the number listed.
@heathaah:That's so awesome. I wanna move to Massachusetts now.
I stay within a couple of pounds of my listed weight! :)
Haha wow... I actually had to pull out the license to look and I weigh 30lbs over that weight! I weighed 120 my senior year of HS... went on antidepressants and gained 30 lbs :( I've lost 5lbs in two weeks though, so I'm working my way back down!
I've gained a lot of weight since I got my license. It was acturate when I got it, though.
I have weighed 180 for several years LOL but really weight 225-230!!!
PA doesn't have it listed either, but I've lost about 10 pounds since getting mine renewed in April, so it would be off.
When I got my first license, I was only 95lbs (on a good day). The person printing it must have thought it was an error and put 195 on there instead. Oops! :) It didn't really bother me, more funny than anything, and I kept it that way until I moved out of state 3 years later.
@thismustbetheplace: Wow! LoL.. that's a big difference. I probably would've been bothered.
Mine is about 20 pounds off, unfortunately.... yeah, working on that. LoL.
Well, I got my license when I was 18 and it doesn't expire until my 24th birthday...
I've gained quite a bit since I was 18 so over 20lbs, and I've lost 15 recently!
I haven't changed my weight on my driver's lisence since I first got it almost 30 years ago! Every time I get a new one they ask if everything is still the same. I just say yes and keep it moving.
i'm im MA here too...I thought you meant just by the picture, was I bigger or smaller than I was now, so I voted, about the same.
Oh man! My state doesn't have weight listed, but I just looked at mine and realized that it says I'm an inch shorter than I am. Which isn't a huge deal, but it is funny/a little irritating, because I'm pretty sure they just haven't asked me since I got my first ID when I was 15 or whatever--when I certainly was that height. That's lame.
@bestbuddies: This is me currently. But when I did get my license I didn't lie at the time. I just put on some weight since the last time I renewed it.
I don't think I could ever live in a state that required your weight to be listed on your drivers license. Thankfully NY has done something right.
I'm about 20 pounds over my license weight, though I did get it in high school and never changed the weight on my renewals. And honestly, I think that listed weight is a little suspect too. So maybe the difference isn't that big.
My license weight is from when I was 17 and still ridiculously skinny (115 pounds at 5'7.5"). I've filled out since then, to say the least, and I'm much happier now. :)
@beekiss: I didn't lie either. . .the first time I gave my weight! Lol. I don't weigh what I did when I was 16, but I did a few years ago. :(
I didn't know any state listed the weight (have had PA and TX licenses). Regardless it would be pretty stable since I got my license a month ago.
(Totally off topic, but I hate how "fake" TX licenses look, PA's looked so official. Can't wait till we move next summer back to the east coast)
I haven't changed the weight on my drivers license in years, even though I just got a new license in a new state.
I'm working on bringing my weight down to match the number on my drivers license. I've got about 8lbs to go before they are the same. At one point there were almost 30lbs difference. Then I hope to get at least 20+ below the listed weight.
I wish I lived in a state where my weight wasn't on my license.
They never asked me what my weight was when I had my name changed (and got a new license), so my teenage weight of 115 is still what's on there. I'm in the 140-145 range now.
I didn't realize that some states make you put your weight on your license. My Mom would freak out... lol
I haven't changed mine since I got it. I think it says 108! ha! That number has been long gone...
I had no idea some states put your weight on your drivers license. I have my ltc and I am within 5lbs of the weight listed on that.
I was excited when I switched from a Minnesota to a Texas driver's license because I no longer have to list my weight on my license :) I think I did underestimate on the official number I gave at the DMV, but I've lost some weight and I think it's probably pretty accurate now!
I've moved to a state that doesn't require a weight on the license, but I grew up in a state that did require it. If I still lived there the weight would say 95 lb - what I weighed when I finished Driver's Ed. That wasn't even accurate by the time I graduated and left for college. (Hooray for curves finally filling in!!)
12 years later that number is more than 20 pounds UNDER my current weight. (But I'm ok with that, I'm taller and I think I look better with some curves.)
I weight more than what my license says. The lady at the DMV told me last time that was was in her 50s and she had never changed her weight on her license and it still said she was 120lbs... she was very obviously not 120 lbs. lol. She said most women never change it when they renew.
PA doesn't have it, thank god.
I have to renew mine soon, which is awesome...I've had the same picture for almost 6 years and seriously...I look so young and everyone, even the TSA at the airport, comments on it!
I'm getting my new license with my new last name soon, so I'll try to correct it a bit. Though I think I'll still put it slightly lower in the hopes of losing a couple of pounds. :)
I live in TX now so there is no weight on my license.
When I lived in IN, it was accurate within 5 pounds when I first got it. But when I renewed it at 21, I didn't update the weight so it was no longer accurate at that point.
I wish Ohio would do away with weights on licenses. Really, what's the point? Especially when it seems most of ours aren't accurate, anyway. :p
Texas doesn't put weight on the liscense either... But I would probably have put 150, I was 20 lbs heavier than I am now (which is actually 150 right now) but I usually put 140 because people always think I weigh less. I go by how I look rather than what the scale says... A I fluxuate alot, I go between 140-150 depending on the time of the month and what I ate the day before. lol
Mine says 10 pounds less than I am now, but I did just have a baby 6 weeks ago... so thats not too bad.
