@AlwaysSunny:  I feel like I’ve failed as a linguist. I got 300 pretty much each time I played. Most of the time I was in the right language family, but picked the wrong one. Like Bulgarian over Slovak, Danish over Norwegian, etc.

@AlwaysSunny:  Ha. That’s cool. Got 200 the first time, 700 the second. I knew I didn’t watch all those silly Korean dramas for nothing 😛

I got a 400. I’m not sure what they rate you out of, though.

It helped that I speak Czech.

They must change up the languages, b/c Bosnian wasn’t on mine! nor was Korean.

I failed horribly with a score of 200. Woot!

Took it a few times to see what my ballpark number was (400), best was 450. I think it is interesting because I didn’t guess well for the ones that I has never heard of and didn’t know where they were spoken in the world. Consolation prize is if it was a language related to one that I (sorta) speak (german, spanish, french, arabic), I didn’t mess it up.

Interestingly, I did hear a few that were obviously influenced by colonialism and they threw me off…

I got a 400 the first time and an 800 the second time. I definitely agree that it was tougher when they gave two very similar choices. One time I was offered Bosnian or Serbian.

I got 450 the first time I tried. It definitely helps that I speak a Slavic language, so I can recognize the difference between Chech, Russian, Ukrainian and Bulgarian, Bosnian. Serbian and Bosnian sound almost the same (took a class in South Slavic studies in college), so they might be quite confusing 🙂
