Bees,
Even though I do not have the cash to travel to other countries, I am a traveler at heart. Im sure Im not the only one who probably wont be able to do all the traveling they would want to. Anyway, I was looking at pictures of different countries and a question poped into my head. If I ever had the money, which 2 countries would I LOVE to visit??
Mine is Switzerland and Thailand. Im fascinated by the islands of Thailand. And Swizerland, theres just something that makes me interested. Weird huh?
I would put up a regular poll but there are just too many countries. So instead I will put up a poll with Europe, Asia, etc., then if u want, you can put the countries below. And if you want you can say y u want to go there.
Have fun with this bees. Im curious to know where all our bees want to go.
I don't see Europe anywhere in the poll!
ETA: I would really like to visit Italy and Ireland.
ETA again: I also have to go to Fiji Tahiti (whoops) at some point with my sister, we've been talking about going for years.
@MissBoPeep: Agreed. I would visit Italy, France, Ireland, etc.
I was just about to say the Europe thing, too. I was just afraid it was there and I was totally missing it, haha.
I'll come back and vote but my two countries are Peru because I am dying to hike to Machu Picchu and Italy because I want to see Venice before it sinks back into the sea.
I've done a lot of traveling already.
I'd say my top two would be:
1) Antarctica
2) Morocco
I'm leaving for Tanzania in less than a month for our delayed honeymoon and cannot wait!
I'm gonna wait to vote until you add Europe, but my top 2 countries are United Kingdom and Mexico.
I would love to go back to Scotland/England and see Ireland as well. So the UK and Ireland.
Or another lovely Caribbean island!
@LGenz: Venice is amazing. I took a trip to Italy with my family and we did Lake Como, Florence, Venice, and part of Tuscany. It was so wonderful.
@Earlybride: Bah! You moved the options around. My vote for Antarctica is now showing up in the Middle East! I'd love to go there too though. So I guess that's ok. ;-)
DH and I are dying to go to Africa! I think Kenya would be our top choice, but any safari would be amazing.
@KatNYC2011: A friend of mine just got engaged in Antartica (shes on some crazy 7 continent world tour at the moment), the pics were in-sane.
I'd love to go to England or Australia. There are other countries I'd like to visit, but I'd be super lost and disoriented in a country that speaks a different language, so English-speaking countries are the most appealing to me.
@KatNYC2011: Sorry about that. I was still contructing it when I noticed that the middle east wasnt in either. lol
@LGenz: I've always wanted to take a cruise from Argentina down around Tierra del Fuego and to Antarctica. Ever since reading Troubling a Star I've wanted to do that.
Not sure why a story about a young girl getting left on an iceberg to die made me want to go there, but it did!
I bet those pictures are amazing.
All of the above - I love to travel!
But if I had to pick my top 2 destinations they'd be:
Found them

Her whole trip makes me insanely jealous
i am absolutely dreaming of a vacation in europe. i went to london with my mom when i was 18 and it was one ofthe best trips i've ever taken. FI is into formula 1 racing (and i find it relatively interesting too...i'm not as into it as he is, but i do enjoy it), and the track in spa (belgium) is pretty cool. we've talked about trying to time a trip to include both the spa F1 race and maybe (if we're lucky) a porcupine tree (british rock band) show in london, since they don't tour a whole heck of a lot in the US, and just in those two cities alone there's SO much history, plenty to be seen to keep you busy for a week and STILL not see all of it. that said, there's no way we can afford to go anytime soon...a trip like that probably wouldn't happen for at least 10 years. (and who knows if porcupine tree will still be together then, lol.)
I travel quite a bit for work; I'm in Europe right now, actually.
One of the places I've always wanted to go though is the UK (which I guess I consider different from continental Europe).
@LGenz: That is SO awesome!
@Mrs.KMM: Up until we booked our African safari that would have taken precidence over Morocco. But now that the safari is planned, I can look to the next!
Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa and Madagascar are right at the top of my list!
Followed by Thailand!
I've travelled a ton through Europe and while I would definitely go back again I want to see and experience something different.
Ireland and some Pacific island are my two.
I really just want to sit in an outdoor infinity pool with a fancy drink in the jungle overlooking the ocean.
I can leave off Germany and Norway because I know my SO would pick those two. ;)
The two countries I'd most like to visit right now are China and Belgium. I'd like to visit China within the next year, actually!
England's on but Scotland's off? I'm offended!
The only country I've had a burning desire to visit is Ireland. And that's where we went on our honeymoon!
Outside of IE, I'd go anywhere pretty indiscriminately. :)
Well, I want to go to England and Scotland... but if you count that as the UK it's only one, so then I'd add Italy. But Greece is very very very close behind Italy. I'm a history major, so all the historic stuff would be so amazing :)
I picked Australia and some country where I could safari in Africa. I've hit Europe, South America and Asia (at least a part of it), so I'd rather go to a new continent first before I go back to those spots.
We did a big trip last year that checked off a bunch of my dream locations (France, Italy, Spain, Greece, monaco, and turkey) but my remaining dream locations are Egypt and Ireland!
I would love to go to Kenya and Thailand. I've traveled a lot through Europe and a bit through the middle east so I'm excited to expand my horizons to Africa and Asia.
if I had to pick only two, I want to go to Spain and Italy.
I've already been to: England, Ireland, Holland, France, Mexico, all over Canada, and St. Lucia.
I might have the opportunity to live in India for a few months, on the company dime! I really hope this happens :)
Bhutan has to be top of my list (I'm going to be saving up for a looooong time for that one). Antarctica would be next.
@janie-janie: India is amazing. I lived in Mumbai for about a month on the company dime.
I want to go back and spend more time there.
I've travelled extensively and my only remaining continents left to visit are South America and Antarctica. I have been all over Europe and never tire of it; Asia I've done quite a bit of and am ok with giving it a rest for a while, same with Australia/Oceania. Africa I've only just touched upon so I'd love to get back there and then of course my two outstanding continents.
If I had to narrow it down to just two countries, it would be Argentina to see Buenos Aires, Patagonia, and Tierra del Fuego (with a trip through the Drake Passage to Antarctica thrown in of course); and South Africa to experience the culture, wildlife, and Cape Town. Ok, so that was technically three countries but you can't do Argentina without going to Antarctica, at least in my book! :-)
