This link was posted by Miss Clover here. It takes in some public info your Facebook friends share to calculate the median “marrying age”, and how far from it you are.
I just did this and its predicted date is my wedding day – 8 months and 13 days from now. No kidding. I’m a little freaked out!
The seriously young one is no doubt my 12 year old cousin who says “like for a fb marriage” every other day, but still. That’s scary
So, how “accurate” is this for you? 🙂

By The Way, it counts “engaged” as married for calculation purposes

@alsgirl: Since it pulls information from your facebook account I highly doubt that they accurately predicted your wedding date. You ahve probably mentioned it somewhere on facebook.

@alsgirl: Well, my wedding is in a bit under 4 months and it said my ideal date is 4 months 6 days! FREAKY.

@j_jaye: If so, it’s accessing information it wasn’t authorised to. I am friends with a fair few engaged people, some younger, a few older. It’s important to remember that it’s not sampling your whole friends list, just those who have both relationship status and birth year shared. I’ll do it again in a few days to see if the results have changed.
@springbride23: Pretty cool, hey? The blogger who posted it, Miss Clover, is supposedly 2 months and 29 days overdue 😛

@alsgirl: Ha, apparently we’re getting married 6 months too early. Close enough?? 🙂

“The median age of your 19 married friends is 26.0 years old. That leaves you 8 days. But remember, half of your friends were married after that age!”
If it counts engaged as married, then I got engaged at 25, but I’ll be 27 when I get married. 🙂

My ideal “marrying age” is 28.4 years old, which means I would get married October 19th, 2014.
I’ll tell Fiance to push the wedding back!

Mine says I have about 18 months to go. I got married 11 months ago! I guess I’m ahead of the curve?

Apparently I got married WAY too early. It says that I should be married in a year and 5 months, but I’ve already been married for 6 months haha! This would be more accurate with DH’s info… he’s 2 years older than I am and since all of our married friends are “his” friends I bet he’d be a lot closer to our actual date. Not complaining that I’m the baby of the group tho!!!

@BeachBride2014: Mine was close at 28.7. I guess I got married too soon!

I have a good mix of friends from high school who all married younger, and friends here in the DC area who married older, but it still set my ideal age at 25.8 years old – and I’ll be 25.2 years old when we get married later this year!
It puts my Fiance as 2 years overdue.
This is so ironic because he’s been ready to get married for 2-3 years now, and it took me those extra couple of years for him to convince me getting married was a good idea 🙂 so I love that I’m marrying “early” and he’s marrying “late”.

@alsgirl: It says I should get married in about 4 months. But if it’s including “engaged” then I got engaged early. I don’t understand why it’s including “engaged” though, if the calculation is to determine when you should be getting married. It really throws off the results to calculate it that way.

I have a looooot of Facebook friends, but only 14 are married! That was surprising.
Median age is 28.7, so I still have a ways to go.
