We never do serious cards, but we do each write a sweet note inside, so the one I'm giving FI tomorrow is:

@nhoh: Haha. Normally it's me but I'm pregnant so I'm always really warm now. DH tries to use me as his personal foot warmer now.

One of the things we say to each other is "I love you more than peanut butter" which is a BFD in our relationship. So I made him a card...or rather, flipbook...of all the things I love less than him.

"I love you more than....peanut butter, ice cream, cupcakes, St Andre Triple Creme Brie, bacon, red wine, a morning cup of coffee, etc etc" each on their own page with an accompanying picture.

And just because it’s that awesome, the card that I almost got for DH to give me since it couldn’t possibly be more perfect. I opted against it since I’d rather not pick out my own v-day card. DH loved it though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he tracks it down on his own...

i already sealed mine up and don't remember exactly, but the one i got has a victorian-looking lady on the front and it says something like "when I'm near you I get breathless and dizzy..." and then the inside says something like "quick! give me mouth to mouth!"

I'm making a card for my husband with a photo I took of a heart-shaped potato on it and something about sometimes love looking like meat and potatoes (because he's a meat and potatoes kind of guy while I prefer vegetables, tofu, and lighter things like that).

I did find a card once that said on the front, "Happy anniversary to a guy with a really cute butt..." Inside it said, "....except when it "talks" I though tit was pretty funny -- and appropriate for him :-D -- so I turned it into a birthday card for him one year

Ok, so it's not for my FI, but I gave this card (a la Ralph from The Simpsons) to one of my single BMs years ago by slipping it into her locker at the gym and she loved it!
