The first time we got pregnant? Yes. Totally knew! Was going crazy to test but we were away over Christmas and there just wasn't any private time I could get a test and test!
This BFP was a SHOCK. Straight up no way, shocked. I thought I was preggo right after the loss, but was pretty sure I was all mind games. The entire week before the BFP I "knew" I was out and just waiting for AF. When it was late, I tested and yah....shocked.
Honestly no I really thought I was "out" for that month and it was our first TTC month so I totally didn't expect it so I was super shocked but thrilled.
Are you also taking responses from ladies who were totally convinced they were pregnant because they just felt completely different, and then got their BFNs? Because that would be me. Twice.
We were only on our second month trying, but my husband was absolutely sure I was pregnant, and I was confident as well. I wouldn't have been so positive were it not for the fact that my boobs were soooo sore about a week after ovulation. That was never a sign of PMS for me, so I thought it was strange. We tested 5 days before my missed period and it was positive.
I had been TTC for 13 months, and I can remember many months when I was "sure" that I got a BFN. The month I got my BFP I wouldn't even have tested, but it was required prior to a fertility test, low and behold, the month I was sure I wasn't pregnant was the BFP!
I had no idea. In fact, I went to the doctor for a test for UTI and when he asked, "Are you SURE your not pregnant?" I laughed. Took an EPT about 2 days later at the request of FI, and wouldn't you know it....
My first BFP I was convinced I wasn't pregnant. With my second, I knew before hand. I was looking for a clear positive so when the line wasn't super dark I just about threw the test away in disbelief until my husband stopped me and pointed out the faint line.
The first time around I wasn't really symptom spotting and didn't know what to expect. With the second positive coming within 6 months of the first, those pregnancy feelings were just all too familiar so I was positive I was pregnant.
I didn't think I was preggers both times I got my BFP. I actually was convinced I was just late and that there was no way I was, but then low and behold I got a positive.
I didn't really know. Prior months I really thought I was pregnant, but the month I finally conceived I had convinced myself I wasn't pregnant. However by the time I tested (4 days late?) I was pretty sure I was pregnant. I had just so convinced myself that I wasn't pregnant that it took a few days before I realized I was late!
All three times I definitely knew. My boobs got really sore with all three, and I actually wanted to kick myself for testing too early with the second. If I hadn't tested I would have never known I was pregnant, and I wouldn't have considered it a chemical. Third time's a charm :o) We waited a really long time to test the third time since we had 2 prior losses, but I absolutely knew I was pregnant. I was exhausted, nauseous and my boobs were killing me.
My first pregnancy a few years ago (miscarried) I knew because AF was late and I had symptoms. When I tested a few weeks ago, I had no idea because I tested early (4 days before AF was due) and didn't have symptoms, yet.
I thought I knew. However, I also thought I was a ton of times when I wasn't too.
With my first two BFPs I knew. With my last one, there were definite clues that I was (a seriously heightened sense of smell, for instance), but our sex-timing was so bad that month (1x, 2 days pre-O), that I had already convinced myself that I wasn't. So getting a BFP was a shock.
But like some PPs, there were many many months that I was convinced I was knocked up and wasn't.
I had no idea. I definitely thought I was out for the month, and believed that I was pregnant the two months prior when I got BFNs... goes to show ya that my body does some wacky things to keep me in suspense! haha
I was sure I wasn't pregnant right up until I was late and took a HPT. Surprise! The confirmation line was darker than the control line. I think I've proven to myself multiple times throughout this pregnancy though that I have zero intuition about my own body...
I didn't have a "feeling" in that I was convinced that a baby was growing in me, but rather a "if I'm this freaking tired I'm either pregnant or have mono." So I tested 6 days before my missed period and got the best news of my life! :D So technically, I guess mine was a symptom not a "knowing" feeling!
I knew with my first 2 before I tested. I tested right when AF do and got BFP right away. WIth my MC, it was a suprise. I took a test AF was due because we were going out with friends and I thought I better just to make sure and low and behold I got a BFP.
I knew. We were NTNT for a long time but because of completely irregular cycles and a stressful family situation I was not very focused on it. One night as I was falling asleep the thought that I REALLY wanted to be pregnant popped in my head and a couple days later I was really touched by a commercial with babies...totally unusual for me. I tested positive but had an early mc. The next cycle I tested twice even though I knew they would be negative. The following cycle, I had a feeling but was not convinced until NYE - I had a sip of champagne and thought it tasted horrible and immediately felt drunk. Got my bfp the next day!
Good luck to everyone waiting for a BFP!
I was 100% convinced we were out for the month. It was our first month and I had none of my usual PMS symptoms (which also mimic pregnancy symptoms funny enough); we also hadn't pulled the goalie until the day after O so I was certain there was no chance. Some of the bees on the two week wait boards thought my symptoms (or lack thereof) sounded promising but I just didn't think there was a chance they were right. It was only at 12 DPO that I noticed a blue vein running across my chest that had never been there before that I actually started to wonder - but I was still convinced it was a no.
I wasn't surprised though when I woke up on the day AF was due and didn't see her. I still thought I was out but maybe subconsciously I knew because I would have been shocked if AF was there that morning. I got my BFP the next day at 15 DPO.
This was our first month TTC so I was totally shocked when we got the BFP. I didn't think there was a chance I was -- my breasts normally ache before my period which they were then, except they weren't "hard" like they are before AF, just more full. I thought it was weird but pretty much was positive I wasn't pregnant. I always assumed I would "just know"... I was wrong!
I suspected it...but mostly because of my symptoms. About 8 DPO I noted some odd mild cramping and my breasts were sore. It wasn't my usual menstrual cycle symptoms. It was my first month TTC so I did doubt it and think I might be crazy, but by the time I actually missed AF, I was pretty sure I was pregnant. I still waited until I was 3 days late to test. I to test. When my husband asked me when my period was due and found out I was already late, he made me test! And, yup, positive it was :)

By the time I tested and got our BFP I definitely wasn't suprised that we could see two lines ( I was one day late for AF).
We'd been actively TTC for ten months and this was the first month that my body had done anything remotely different to previous cycles. I had sore boobs that didn't disappear and my temp hadn't dropped as it usually would. This was the only time I'd tested so I was pretty sure it was going to be positive by the time I worked up the nerve to go buy a test.
I had no idea. I really thought our month was the month before. Everything was perfect: Highs on CBEFM, then peaks, lined up with temping, great LP, BD timing was PERFECT. However, nothing. Onto the next month, I decided to stop temping and just do the CBEFM. I had 14 days of Highs and we only BD 2 times that month due to Hubby's work schedule (he works out of town). On the 14th morning of High (AGAIN), I thought something had to be up, so I took a cheap internet test. Well, I thought it was defective, because there was a faint line. I took a FRER and that popped up positive immediately. Took a digital--same thing. Looking back at the weekend before, I saw signs. I was very emotional and tired. I was super hormonal to everyone. I thought I was gaining weight because my boobs didn't fit into my bras anymore. I fell asleep on the couch right after eating dinner every night and I was super tired. When I tested I was about 10 dpo or so. I'm not really sure because I wasn't temping. I was about 2 or 3 days away from my expected period. I think the next time I'll be a little bit more aware, but maybe not.
Not really, only because we'd been TTC for awhile and I could have sworn I was pregnant each and every month. The only difference was I felt my stomach flutter, like streching I've never felt before, normally I'd just have bad cramps. I also had watery CM, and the only other 2 times I had that was when I think I had an ectopic and a blighted ovum.
@AprilJo2011: LOL. I have been absolutely, positively SURE I was KU every single f'ing month of TTC. It makes those BFNs so much harder.
I 100% knew for sure. It was our first month NTNT and I felt different, had the sniffles and started having some pretty loose stools. I knew for sure but I still waited until AF was 4 days late to test.
This was our first month TTC so I don't have a lot of experience, but I kinda felt like I just knew. I had sore boobs/nipples (sorry TMI) and was tired the past two weeks. I've been testing the past few days and finally got my BFP today at 12dpo. I had a weird feeling today and for the first time tested twice. I was really hopeful because we BD'd the day before and day of ovulation and I also used OPKs.

I've been actively TTC for 2 months and NTNT for 3 months before that. I think that I'm either 5 or 6 DPO and I have 0 symptoms. I also just don't feel like it was our month. My sister, who had a baby last September (who wasn't trying, btw), said she just knew and had a feeling. Right now I have no feeling. I also use Ovulite (a saliva microscope to detect ovulation), which also can indicate early pregnancy by giving the same "fern" pattern post-O, has not given me any ferns. Did you ladies who received BFPs just have a feeling before you got the BFP? Thank you so much!
