    Hi everyone,

I'm walking out the door and decided I would let everyone in on a little seccret who plans to order from David's for Bridesmaids dresses.

We went last year to get my gown and the girls picked out their dresses. Obviously because it was so early, the girls didn't order their dresses right then. I was letting them pick the dresses they wanted as long it was the right color and had similar material. Well, My wedding is Oct, 22nd. My MOH went last Monday and they were NOT NOT NOT happy with her for waiting so long and told her that the dress wouldn't be in until Oct 10th. She called me when she left and said, well....not only were they mad as heck at me, but the selection wasn't huge for "last minute" orderes. And it won't be in until Oct 10th.

Well, my wheels started turning, I went to David's online and looked around and noticed when I put something in the cart, it said 5-10 business days for shipping. So I called the remaining maids and told them to look around (btw, way more stuff available online and on sale online) and see if they found anything they liked. Well, all 4 of them found dresses they liked BETTER than on the original day. They all ordered and we crossed our fingers. Because we thought, no way in heck it will come to our houses that quickly when David's has a cow if you don't come in months before. Well quess what?? They came today. All of them fit. And they are all PERFECT!!! From the second of purchase to door step took 6 days....OMG!!

I just wanted everyone to have that bit of info. Go to David's, get your size, go home and order it!! I mean giving that you can find the same one, or one you like more, at home. And again, there are WAY more available online than in stores.... Hope I help everyone!!

Just be sure to check return policy for EACH dress. Depending on the section on the site that you order from, some cannot be returned/exchanged.

@BeachyKeenBride...true. Very true. We took the gamble because one of the girls Gmas is a seamstress.... but yeah ladies...check the return policy, especially if you get a dress onsale. But also know, in stores if a dress is on clearance it is also a final sale, most of the time (I purchased a shower dress there, as well, a year ago)

I have no experience with this yet so I post a thread on here and asked the bees when is the latest that I should have my BM's order their dresses. The answer I got was 6 months. That leaves room for the shipping time and if any alterations are needed, there will be time to fix it, or anything else that might happen.

So when I read that u are getting married in Oct and your MD's wait until late August to order their dresses I was shocked!

I am so glad that it worked out great for u, but I dont advice any wedding party to wait that long and get so close to the wedding before ordering. Anything can happen.

And I only say this because this is what other people and bees have told me.

Very glad u had a happy ending. :)

@Lol, I agree!! I didn't know they had waited!! but for people who DON"T have a long engagement, it's definately a good option. I had a friend that was only engaged for 2 months...so for those ladies, or people who don't realize a maid has waited, its a great backup plan. Or even for people who might fit right into a david's size right off the. Like me, my bridal dress happend to fit like it was made for me..YAY, no alterations!! :D I was happy for that!

I am bumping this, and replying because your post helped me, as this is where I planned on getting the bm dresses! Thanks!
