@LilliePad:   We plan to do a first look, and some photos with wedding bands and some without.  We’re trying to minimize the time for photos after the ceremony – we’d like to do group/family photos but with luck will have all our portraits done ahead of time.

We’re doing all pictures before and will definitely be wearing our bands.

@LilliePad:  Ideally I’d say no bands on fingers before the wedding. But we don’t live in an ideal world and not everything works out that way, so I’d say go with the flow. My first wedding, my exH (the one I was marrying at that time) really “NEEDED” this photographer and she was already booked the day of our wedding. So we literally had a dress rehearsal the day before. My whole big, full A-line wedding dress, his suit, groomsmen, bridesmaids, rings, the whole sha-bang. Maybe not ideal, but it was that or no pics at all, well, no professional pics.

It’s really great that you’re willing to do things a little backwards (for lack of a better word) so as to not further inconvenience your guests. And you’ll be able to take your time and relax for your photos instead of worrying about what time it is and are you late for your own reception, are people starving by now? Ya know?

Our ceremony and reception are taking place at the same venue, and we’re hoping to keep the gap as small as possible with minimal pictures taken between the ceremony and reception.  So, we’ll definitely be taking some wedding band pics while we’re doing everything else in the morning/afternoon 🙂

@LilliePad:  If these are the only pictures…then I definitely think you should both wear your bands!

@LilliePad:  p.s. Just saw your other comment..and honestly, I don’t think anyone will see your pictures and think that …IMO, its not even something people will think about by the time your pics come in 🙂

We plan to do a first look and as many of our portraits/bridal party pictures before the ceremony as well.  I plan to have us wear our wedding bands.. I don’t really see the stigma with wearing the rings ahead of time as long as it is taken back off for the ceremony purposes.

@LilliePad:  You’ll be fine. I doubt anyone will start thinking “Hey, when did they take those pics?”

My FI has been wearing his band since we got it in December! He loves it. So we will def have our bands on! We are taking pics before the ceremony, and I want to see our rings in the pics when I look back on that day!

We got married at 3:30 and did all of our photos before, except family pictures. I wore my e-ring, but we didn’t wear bands. When I got my pics back it was a little weird that DH doesn’t have his ring on, but we didn’t want to wear the ring before taking the vows. No big deal. That’s just what we wanted. 🙂

I’d wear them if it will truly be your only couples pictures.

For us, our photographer insisted on taking 10 minutes’ worth after the ceremony too, because she said the “just married glow” is so beautiful. Those are some of our favorites for sure – I’d definitely recommend that!! We didnt wear our bands before the ceremony, and some of those band-less photos are also favorites. All in all it’s not really something I notice…

@LilliePad:  and I agree with PP, don’t over think this – there is literally no way on earth that anyone (besides you) will wonder why you’re wearing rings in your pics. No one else cares that much…
