We went to the Bahamas in May for a week and it cost us around $5,500. Though we loved the resort it rained THE WHOLE WEEK we were there. It was cloudy and very disappointing. We met other couples there who were frequent Sandals travelers and everyone recommended St. Lucia to us. So if I had to go again I would defintely do St. Lucia.
We're going to Sandals for 6 nights. We splurged on a suite with a Butler and including airfare it was $4700.
We are going to Sandals Ocho Rios in Jamaica. For 7 nights, including airfare, we are paying around $4000. We got the trip through AAA.
Also look at the Secrets resorts. I just posted about my honeymoon to Secrets Maroma Beach and wow it was so awesome. The resort is a year old and WOW.
We spent $3299 for 7 nights and had a swim out suite in the preferred club level which has all kinds of extra perks. We are planning on going there again!
Good Luck
Thanks ladies!
I don't know if I can go to Sandals for under $3000... but thanks for the suggestions. I'll check out the other resorts.
You should check out the Excellene Resorts...they have one in DR, 2 in Mexico and 1 in Jamaica. My friends went to the one in DR in Sept for their honeymoon and said it was unreal. Its AI, and they stayed for a week in one of the nicest rooms and it was $2k...so it was less than $3k once they added flights in. I looked up the resort and it looks beautiful.
It looks like Sandals is having some type of special if you book now- you could go check out the cost at their site.

if you want the bahamas and all inclusive you should look at Breezes resorts and Wyndham resorts. Were going to the Wyndham
We booked Halycon St. Lucia for 10 nights with airfare for just under 5k. We are in a basic room but that resort does not have many rooms with butler service.
We did 6 nights in Jamaica in April and I believe total cost was about 3k, maybe just over with flights.
Do not waste your time on a honeymoon at breezes nassau bahamas. I went their in college because it was all I could afford and it was complete trash.
Some of the Sandals Resorts are very nice, but there are some other resorts that offer similar benefits without the pricetag.
I would check out Excellence, Secrets, and Karisma Resorts. I often find that these run much lower than the big chains do, so you get a lot more bang for your buck.
I stayed in the Royal Village Honeymoon Suite at Sandals in the Bahamas.
For non-stop flights, hotel accomodations, taxes, and insurnace it cost us $4000. We stayed 6 nights/7days with rolls royce transportation, 2 private butlers. The staff was delightful, weather was amazing! We even became friendly with some staff and still keep in touch!

Started looking at honeymoons for us to take in the new year. I saw the Sandals site and I really want to go there.
I saw the honeymoon packages, are they worth it?
How much did it cost to go there? How many days were you there?
