    I'm currently trying to sell my dress, in no rush.

    But curious, for those of you that were successful in selling your wedding dress.

    1. Where did you list it?
    2. Where was it successfully sold?
    3. And for how long was it listed?

    Thanks!

    I had one from a previous engagement 5 years ago & I never had any luck getting rid of it! We have a place here locally that will sell a new or used wedding dress for you & I took it up there about a month ago. They don't pay you until they sale it and so far nothing.. Its a gorgeous dress too so I don't get it.. Before I took it there I listed it on ebay & on craigslist.

    Good luck with yours!!

    I feel like I'm always posting on these threads, but having four dresses for sale makes me kind of a pro at this :)

    1. Preownedweddingdresses, oncewed, bravobride, WB classifieds, Craigslist

    2. Three sold on powd.com. One is still for sale.

    3. The ones that sold were listed between 1-3 months. The unsold one has been there for 6 months. I usually start at a higher price higher than I want to get, then reduce the price after a while by 10% to move it up listings and regenerate interest.

    @meliss:

    I was thinking about you when I posted! I just couldn't find a thread where you said which site helped you sold the dresses. :)

    I currently have them on here and Oncewed.

    In another couple months I might bite the bullet and put it in Preownedweddingdresses.com

    Recycled bride is another good site to sell a wedding dress.  You can list 1 dress at a time for free.  I've also had good luck with craigslist and oncewed.  I've listed dresses on the weddingbee classifieds, but never got a single response there.  Also, I've sold 6 dresses.  1 on recycled bride, 2 on oncewed, and 3 on craigslist.  They were listed around 6 weeks before they sold.

    @Gerbera:  I did not sell my dress but I bought it off smartbrideboutique.com   in the process of searching I looked through craigslist, kijiji, and any consignment online store I could find for local listings.

    Give it a try.  Also ebay?

    I'm having the hardest time getting my Craigslist listing to show up under my city & category.

    It said it's listed??

    If I search for it I can't find it. But if I click on the direct link it's there.

    @Gerbera:  It can take 15-20 mins to show up in the listings.  Be patient.

    @Gerbera:  Whoops, sorry ... yeah, that's not good.  Is there a CS line you can call or email?  I've listed tons on CL and haven't ever had problems.

    @milesbella:

    Yea, I emailed and they just sent me 50 million FAQ links that are on their website that I already looked at. :(

    I think I might just delete it and try reposting in a couple days.

    I listed mine (I had 2) on here, oncewed.com, preownedweddingdresses.com, and did a couple rounds on Ebay.

    I sold one on preownedweddingdresses.com and one on Oncewed. It took both gowns 3 months. I got about 50% of the original sale price for each.
