I just got mine to mid back too. I'm just letting mine grow and keep getting regular trims until my wedding.
I think I will do the same thing. Might as well see how long I can get it! hahaha
I also am just letting it go. We will see how long it gets!
I think how long you want it depends on how you want your hair. If you are going to wear it down with curls, you will want it pretty long since it will look shorter when curled (even if just loose curls). Also, if you're unsure of your hairstyle, and you don't mind caring for it, it doesn't make sense to cut it now or soon.
I'm just letting it grow, and getting fairly regular haircuts. I might trim a lot off once I figure out how I'm going to do my hair. And I can't wait until after the wedding, I'm cutting bangs again, and then I'm cutting it all off!
I am glad you posted this thread! Mine is a little past mid back and I am also getting married in May! My hair grown extremely fast! I am not sure how long I want it either. Maybe another inch or two but I do not want it to my waist. I am going to just keep trimming it until the wedding.
I'm just letting it grow! But possibly trim for split ends if it looks bad.
I'm just trimming when the ends need it...
I would never let it get past my lower back, but that isn't an issue because a cheap salon really messed it up bad after I'd been letting it grow for almost a year (Thank God for a long engagement!)
I'm just letting it grow and seeing where it gets too. I have until September and it's already down to the bottoms of my shoulder blades.
I am probably doing a hair trail in April so I'll see how things look then and decide whether to keep growing or just keep it the same length.
Letting it grow out till my wedding in 2012...That way if I decide to hack off some of it for my hair-do it won't make a hill of beans :)
Any tips or products/vitamins to take to make it grow faster? Lol mine is right past my shoulder and if it doesnt grow before my May wedding Im getting extensions! HELP! lol
If your hair is too long it might be hard to style it the way you want on your wedding day. But I am going to let my hair grow as long as possible too.
@blondebride2: One thing that helps mine is not to wash it every day. I wash it every other day at the most.
It helps the natural oils get all the way to the ends of your hair and keeps it healthy.
Sometimes I've I'm not going anywhere nice or will just be lounging around my apartment all weekend. I won't wash it all weekend so the oils can get to the end.
I hate my hair looking greasy, but it is good for it every once and a while.
Yep my hair is mid back as well and I've got until August....just gonna let it grow and get tons of trims in between to keep it healthy. Hoping to get the length to just above my bum :)
@blondebride2: I think Vitamin E and C are supposed to be good for hair. Also try a B supplement. Biotin too!
My hair grows incredibly slow!!! Before the engagement I wore my hair chin length. It's now just past the tops of my shoulders and probably the longest it's ever been. I plan to continue letting it grow until April when I'll make a final desicion about whether I'll need extensions or not. Pretty sure that for the look I want, I'll need the extra hair.
@blondebride2: Try Biotin. You can find it anywhere they sell supplements. I'm using it now!! My hair breaks off easily so I'm trying to beat it to the punch and outgrow it!
Im just letting it go! I want long wavy curls and the more length the better since curls make it shorter! I dont want to have to wear extensions!
i started 1.5 years ago with a SHORT invernted bob (so short it was shaved in the back). Now, my hair is about 3-4 inches passed my shoulders. Ideally, I would like it to be mid back--but I know I won't be able to get it there by april.
When my hair does reach that length, though, i want to keep it there and get bangs. :)
Mine was at my mid back when he proposed, and I'm hoping to get another good 4 inches of growth before the wedding in August. One of the most important things I've stopped doing was the blonde highlights. My hair is so much softer and healthier now, so I'm hoping I'll have to do less maintenance trimming on those pesky split ends.
I guess it depends on how your want to wear it on your day. I put some extensions in my hair to give more volume.
I want to have long hair for the wedding and when I saw my hairdresser last week he said just to let it grow and to get it cut three weeks before the wedding.

How long are you letting it get before you stop growing it? My wedding is in May and my hair is already mid back. I dont know if I should keep letting it grow or just maintain it at this length.
What are you doing???
