I had to have him endorse the checks and have him bring his id to the bank when I made the deposit. I had to explain myself and in the end they told me they would've gone thru the ATM as a deposit just fine without a problem.![]()

I'm getting married in 4 weeks and have started to receive some wedding gifts in the form of checks. I know people say you should cash checks right away so as not to mess up the givers checking account, but we haven't set up joint checking accounts yet. I am also not planning to change my name, so what do we do with checks made out to MyFirst HisFirst HisLast? I assume I can't do anything with them personally.
