Maybe start with candles or a table lamp?  I hate the overhead lights because I feel like they blind me lol.

Start with softer lights and work your way up. I used to be self conscious until I got with my FI and he makes me feel very beautiful. I remind myself that he likes seeing me. I also focus more on his face and body and how it looks more so than how I look. You really won’t think about how you look after awhile during that time

Honestly, I just pretend that I’m the hottest chick there is. If I think I’m sexy he will too. ๐Ÿ˜‰

And don’t forget that he already thinks you are sexy, that’s why he is with you and wants to have sex with you.

Honestly, I just have no shame. And the guy married me, and loves me. And I really think he’d be a little offended if I was self-concious around him at this point. And he likes to joke around a lot, so it’d be hard to feel self-concious when I’m laughing at what a dork he is.

In all seriousness, though, soft lighting does wonders. Candles, lamps, lamps with scarves over them…mood lighting.

I agree with starting with a soft or bedside lamp on. Then graduate to the lights on eventually. You’ll be getting busy during the daylight before you know it ๐Ÿ™‚

I like the Candle idea, very romantic!! or buy a red lightbulb and surprise your guy with a sexy red light romance!

My SO has multi colored lights and he actually surprised me with them, they really helped with the mood plus! it isn’t as bright as a white light and idk it made me feel more… sexy *blush*

Well FI and I have been together for almost 5 years and I still get a bit self conscious when the lights on…especially if I’m doing something *erm* a little tabooish and not the usual sex. But I just push through it and try not let it get to me because in reality FI isn’t noticing anything but what’s happening LOL

I’m very confident person. Knowing that I can please my man better than anyone else makes me forget my body insecurities. Plus, I know he loves me and my body the way it is so if he loves how I look, I should love it too.

Start with candles or other soft light, as PP’s suggested. Slowly work your way up to full-light. Or just get tipsy first, that should lower your inhibitions. Tongue out

I don’t get self conscious because I figure theres a reason he wants to see me naked!

I don’t mean to be insensitive, but if you really only have sex with the lights off, does that mean you only have sex at night? No just waking up, first thing in the morning sex? No middle of the day on lazy weekend sex? No just got home from work mid-afternoon sex?
