Once a gift is purchased from our Honeymoon registry, we are sent an email to let us know.. do you think it’s appropriate to thank that person right away, or wait til the shower. My plan was to keep a list of who bought us a gift off the Honeymoon registry, then make an announcement of sorts at the shower, so people know it was purchased for us. Should I also send a little thank-you to them beforehand, so they know we are aware they purchased it for us?

I purchased a gift off a Honeymoon registry for a friend’s shower earlier this year. I received a confirmation email that was pretty and printable (gift card-ish) and put it in her card to open at the shower. So, while she probably did get an email notice of it, she also received it as a “present” at the shower and thanked me when she opened it and also sent me a thank you card later.
We have a small Honeymoon registry and I’m planning on ignoring the emails and anticipate friends/family would do something similar to what I, and others, at the shower did.

I wonder if they all have that same kind of thing, where they can print out a little note, that’s a nice idea! I know I’ll thank her & mention her gift regardless at the shower, I just wonder if I should send her a little note now, so she knows I’m aware she purchased it for us. Hm. Thanks for the advice though!
