It had nothing to do with diet and exercise with me, but everything to do with stress and forgetting to eat!
I stayed the same. I didn't change my normal exercise or diet at all (I had some medical problems towards the end of planning so I didn't have time to try and kill myself at the gym or anything). I was hoping the stress alone would maybe knock off a few lbs but I stayed the same. My dress fit perfectly so I was happy!
I lost a few pounds in the weeks before my wedding - I would say overall, I lost 5 pounds total in the last six months before the wedding. But I'm a small person (only 5'2) and generally weigh between 105-107 so it was kind of a lot. It was mostly stress and running around. I did the 30 day shred to tone up (it works!!) but more than that it was the stress and even though I didn't diet by any means, I found myself eating less.
I lost weight the DAYS leading up to the wedding. Up until a few days before, I was normal. But then I just got so excited, I couldn't eat. It didn't even have anything to do with stress, just excitement. I don't think I ate much more than a couple hundred calories each day, and the wasit on my dress was definitely a bit loose. Oh well. I gained it back, and then some, on our honeymoon, haha!
I dropped ~5 lbs about 2 months before the wedding and stayed there. I thought I would lose more because my stress level and stomach are very closely linked (I lost 20lbs when I went away to college!)
I'm 5'5" and I'm usually like 122 and I think I dropped to about 117. It wasn't anything noticeable.
I cut out salt from my diet and lost 7 pounds...but it was all water weight. I didn't lose any "real" weight before my wedding. I plateaued pretty hard. But hey, that's what a no-salt diet and a corset are for...=]
everyone told me I would lose weight due to stress, lack of sleep, etc, but I didn't lose anything!
I was ok with it...no worries about dress fiting or clothes on the honeymoon!
I didn't lose weight right before the wedding. Hasn't stopped me from gaining weight since, though.
See my numerous posts about stuffing my face.
LOL, after our feasting on our honeymoon and my lack of working out since the wedding, I've had no problem putting some of it back on : )
Well, there was NO exercise the last few weeks... so the 5 pounds couldn't have been that. But I was busy, which meant that I didn't eat normal meals...does that count as a diet? I don't think so!
I did lose a little weight right before our wedding last weekend, and I've eaten enough cake this week to more than make up for it! LOL!
Stress was the main reason I lost weight. Too busy of a schedule and lack of hunger. After losing too much weight I was afraid my dress was going to fall off. Luckily I had a great corsette that shaped and padded at the same time. :)
I was actively trying to lose weight in the 6 months (or so) leading up to the wedding. I continued to lose weight right up until the wedding day. I'd say in the 6 months before the wedding, I lost around 15-20 lbs. At the end, I definitely think it was partially due to stress.
I didn't lose a ton of weight, overall, but I think getting more muscles just took care of it for me....I ate less, on purpose, but I don't think I stopped eating from stress...sometimes I wish I had that problem, lol. Once I got my final fitting, I didn't try to lose any more weight of course, so that was nice, but I actually weighed less when I got back from the honeymoon...shocking since I PIGGED OUT! I guess all the working out really made more difference for me in the long run than the diet.
I stayed the same (but wasn't trying to lose any weight, I just maintained my regular workouts)...and am glad, didn't want to have to go for a last minute emergency fitting if something was too loose. I will say I did put a couple lbs on AFTER the wedding, but now I am back to regular workouts and eating habits.
I was so worried about all the dinners, showers and food around that I did not consider the stress factor and it was pretty high. Many missed meals and a general loss of apetite contributed to about a 5 lb. weight loss. I'm 5'3" and about 105 lbs so when I threw the dress on and my boobs were gone, I was so grateful that one of my BMs real life event planner had brought Hollywood tape to keep my dress up!! I so did not want to have the skeletor arms and I work out a lot to be healthy and fit but the stress definitely got to me. We ate plenty on our honeymoon and with it being hibernating season, I am back to my normal weight.
I wasn't stressed, but I was very busy so either I didn't eat as much or my metabolism kicked in. Nothing drastic but I was able to wear my skinny jeans for a few weeks :-)
I totally gained a couple pounds! I usually eat healthy and exercise a lot but I was sooo busy the couple weeks before the wedding that I was eating out instead of cooking and not going to the gym as much! Fortunatley, those wedding dresses really suck you in!
My weight pretty much always stays the same. I did get much more toned though. At one point I guess I was working out so much that it seemed like I got too skinny so I stopped a week before the wedding and ate whatever I wanted =)

How many of you lost weight in the last weeks leading up to the wedding? Was stress a factor, or diet and exercise?
