I know most places in Vermont that are near a forest offer a tented reception for numbers over 50. Have you looked into that option? One place I know of in Vermont is the Ponds at Bolton Valley, they have a beautiful indoor space but I don’t know how much it costs to have a wedding there.

I’m getting married at a venue called stonehedge in gray maine! They offer catering options through them at the most being $24.99 a person. They also offer the option of you finding your own caterer, and there is also several summer camps that offer weddings, there is one in sebago maine called camp o-at-ka that does beautiful weddings right on the lake, they have a little chapel there, and a reception room, and it’s in the woods.
