I *think* I’ve decided on a two tone solitaire as my future engagement ring. I *thought* my mind was set on a FB RB but I’m now torn between that and a FB OEC.
My ideal stone is bright, near(est) white and tonnes of sparkle, the sparklier the better!
What do you Bee’s recommend?
Thank you in advance,

RBs have more glittery sparkle and OECs have bigger flashes of pastel colored sparkle. I voted for RB for you, because that’s what it sounds like you would like.

Caroline88: Ditto what FutureDrAtkins: said. I have the OEC and it has chunky facets and throws color around a lot! Love it, though. Mine is also a vintage replica setting.

Both are beautiful, but with your specifications, you’re probably better off getting a RB. OECs tend to show a little more warmth. I would buy an unenhanced and FB to compare. I’ve seen pics of the newer unenhanced moissanites on other forums and they look pretty white, sometimes even whiter than some FBs.

Sounds like you would like the RB better than an OEC for all the reasons listed above!

Thank you ladies, you have all been a great help.
I know this is a touchy subject and I know moissanite is a gem in it’s own right BUT which of the two (in your opinion) is most diamond like?
