I really want to like spanx. I really, really do! But I’m alsways disappointed. It either rolls up, or rolls down, or pinches my back, etc… and I’m just never impressed. They’re difficult to put on and take off, and I have to keep fidgeting with them all day. I’m done with nylon tube shapewear. I’d rather wear Rago! It’s been around since the 1950’s and there’s a good reason.
The lace powermesh is super supportive and gives a good firm control, but it doesn’t bunch or cut into you and it’s very, very breathable. The banding keeps the lace powermesh flat and provides stability. And the boning nips in your waist and tummy. The lace bottom on the legs has silicone grip so it doesn’t ride up.
And most important, the garment is shaped to come up high under the bust, but ends at the natural waist in the back. No more rolldown from back fat that refuses to comply! It evens has the split gusset so that you can pee without taking it off.
What I bought. Style 6207. The size chart is very accurate. It was easy to put on and take off but it held me in very nicely.
For people who are visual I’ve enclosed pictures of before and after.
I hope this helps someone!

@michiru4ever: Thanks for the heads up on Rago. You’re so awesome it almost hurts! You’ve always been on of my favorite Bees (sorry that seems so stalkerish).

Rago has been around for forever! I think since the 60’s or 50’s.
What I’m wearing in the photo is the Rago leg shaper that goes up to just under the breasts, and on top of that I’m wearing my long line strapless bra.
The shapewear is linked above. Rago doesn’t sell their stuff directly, but they have a link page to retailers. I got mine at Luvmyundies.com
The longline bra is Dominique style 8950. I bought mine at a local shop because I’m a 42F and have to try stuff on in person. I found it online here. The size I tried on was 44 DDD and it was very loose around my ribs but small in the cups so we ordered a 42F. The cups fit great but for some reason the bra wouldn’t close. I don’t know why it ended up being about 4 inches smaller than the 44 I tried on in the store. I bought 2 7-hook bra extenders and now it fits perfectly.
@HisMoon: LOL Not stalkery at all. I’m glad you like my posts.
@DarthBetty: Thank you, I hope that other curvy women out there realize that we ARE beautiful and sexy. Women of all shapes and sizes are beautiful and I’m tired of all the negativity. You just have to shut it out.
@jigga143: I have two Rago garments now and I love them. It’s a great brand.

wow! I just purchased yummy tummie, and it SUCKS IMO. I wanted so badly to love it. But a. I think I ordered the wrong size and B. it’s irritating, and rolls down.
I found another linke to RAGO and I was seriously just google checking and looking at styles last night. My FI came in and said “what the…girdles?!”
so funny but soo good I found this post. I will definatley put in an order. After three kids, my belly is nowhere near what it used to be. And no matter how much weight I lose, I still have a hangy skin baby pouch thing which sucks so bad. I just want a smooth appearance in my dress!!

I bought four different kinds of body shapers (spanx, maiden form, fat free dressing) and wasn’t crazy about any of them. Then I remembered Rago and I’m thoroughly impressed. I will cry if they ever stop making stuff. Also, they all come with garter tabs if you want to wear stockings.
