I don't sleep with my engagement ring on! I VERY occassionally forget it, like on weekends when I'm cleaning and then running errands.
I don't sleep with mine on either--and I almost walked out the door without it on this morning too! I ran back up to get it. Normally I'm pretty good about remembering but with everything going on I'm lucky if I remember my name haha.
My friend was playing with her dog a few months ago and her e-ring slipped off her finger and he *gasp* SWALLOWED it. EEK! Her FI had to check the dogs 'business' for two days till they found it. I swear, it was a scene straight out of Marley and Me! I always take mine off now before playing with my puppy Molly. Can you imagine?!
Did any of you lose/find your rings in a funny way?
ALL my rings (8) are always on EXCEPT for my e-ring. I have been known to turn back and go home when I have forgotten it but now that I have a wedding band, I don't do that anymore!
I had taken it off for a painting project and forgot to put it back on... i woke up in the middle of the night and realized my finger was naked and immediatley got up and found it and put it back on! No naked fingers here!
I take mine off to sleep because I've clawed myself with it one too many times. Other than that, I take it off if we're doing a long run because my chubby fingers tend to swell
I sleep with my rings on...the only time I take it off is when I put lotion on! I'm too scared that I'd loose it...and its worth way too much! the FI and his mother would kill me (the diamond was hers)!
I've forgotten my ring a couple of times. I don't sleep with any jewelry on so sometimes if I'm in a rush in the morning, I'll forget it. It feels so weird to not have it on!
Just days after I got engaged I wasn't used to it yet, and I forgot to take it off before putting my hands in a bucket of papier mache mixture. I remembered quickly, though, and it rinsed off just fine. I take it off to wash my face, take a shower, or put on lotion, but I'm very good about remembering to put it back on.
I take my engagement ring off in the shower and I usually won't put it back on right away unless I'm leaving and then I forget if I prolong putting it back on. And then yes I feel very naked.
And this may sound vain but I promise I'm not...but I also worry when I forget to put it back on that like some guy will hit on me and I'll say I'm engaged and go to point to the ring and it won't be there. lol! But luckily I atleast have a tan line from the ring :) :)
I only take mine off to put on lotion, or if I'm mixing food by hand (to crumble tofu, for example). I just feel too wierd without it.
I sleep with both bands on, and I only take them off for the shower, when I'm working with food like hamburger, or when I got waterskiing. My mother lost her diamond while waterskiing, and so now I'll never wear it in the water. I'll leave my e-ring at home when we go camping, too, just because it's easier.
Yeah my step dad's wedding band is at the bottom of the Tennessee River somewhere because he wore it waterskiing.
I didn't sleep with my engagement ring on at first, b/c I am a warm person and felt confined by the jewelry (i can only wear stud earrings to bed usually) but my fiance was so sad about it, that i just got used to it. I would feel super naked w/out mine now, too!
Oh you guys have scared me about the water sports! i wore my e ring jetskiing the other week. I would just feel weird w/out it.
I don't sleep with my ering on but I put it on right when I get out of the shower.
i forgot it once, on a Sunday, and felt so naked!! :(

On my way into work this morning I noticed I wasn't wearing my engagement and wedding rings. UGH! It's fine, but now I feel "naked" without them. The main reason I forgot is that I sleep without my rings. Do any of you forget to wear your rings, and why?
