How much time did you allow for formal photos on your wedding day? How much time did it really take?
Our photographer has decided not to bring a second photographer (sort of bummed on that one) and I just want to make sure there is enough time to get all the shots.
Our photographer told us to allow an hour before the ceremony for separate pictures (we're not seeing each other before the ceremony) and an hour after the ceremony. Then we'll do fun pictures outside the church after that.
We spent about 1.5 hours doing portraits. It was probably about 30 minutes for the family photos and 1 hour for photos of just us (taken in a couple of different locations within a quarter mile). I'd allow for two hours though, because we didn't end up getting photos with our bridal party. (We started late due to traffic).
