Hey ladies! So…I’m pretty sure Maggie Sottero’s “Emma” is THE ONE, but I realized that I can’t seem to find a veil that works with it. I originally thought I’d wear a birdcage, but the birdcage the consultant showed me really didn’t fit with the dress. So now, I’m stumped. I never really saw myself as a traditional “veil” bride. Mom says just some flowers in my hair would be enough… My sister said just a feather fascinator…
So, I wanted to throw the question out to the group. I’m curious what other bees have done. Former Maggie Sottero brides: What style of veil or headpiece do you suggest? What did you choose? Show off your bridal style!

@CelticBeachBride: Can you put a pic of the dress up? I’m a MS lace dress bride, but will be doing a more traditional veil. I’m supposed to get my dress tomoz so I’ll have a pic of my dress and veil then 🙂
If no veil, fresh flowers can look stunning!

@aussiebride26: I don’t have a photo of me in the dress (salon didn’t allow photographs), but here’s the Emma gown on the model (it’s hard to see in these photographs, but all the lace is beaded, and sparkles as you walk):
Here’s a closeup of the bodice:
Here’s the back of the dress (but without the removable cap sleeves):
I think you may be right. Fresh flowers may be the way to go. I just don’t want the flowers to wilt in my hair half-way through the day and look droopy in the photographs (that happened at a friend’s wedding) or to lose petals and then look weird in the photos. :-/

@CelticBeachBride I will use the model Emma, Maggie Sottero. I also had many questions about the type of veil to wear. I made several tests and I decided on a “mantilla veil”. After looking at the Maggie Sottero site ended up deciding on the model wears the veil worn by the model called Ivandra, in ivory. I hope to give you a very romantic touch. Once at the party, when I remove the veil ivory take a flower on the side of my head. Greetings!

here’s my emma with my veil. i choose a champange veil (to match the gold dress) and it has silver edging. i loved my dress before, but i finally got to try the dress with the veil today and it was amazing. i couldn’t believe i was questioning even wearing a veil. it made me feel like a bride even more so and i can’t wait to get married. ps i love my veil so much i did the dishes in the other day.

I will be wearing a cathedral length veil similar to the one below. I’ve always imagined myself in a cathedral.
