It’s been a long while but I wanted to come back and give you all a little update! After my unconventional proposal (if you need a reminder, read about it here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/unconventional-yes-but-perfectly-happy-all-the-same/) I did finally get my proposal! I never really thought how he would propose but he really came through. We picked out a gorgeous ring together and on our way home, he stopped at a shopping center we frequent and proposed, a la Jim and Pam from the Office. Even though we literally just purchased the ring, I had no idea he would propose the same day. It was so incredibly sweet and romantic and I cried. It was perfect. And now whenever we go shopping, I have sweet memories of our proposal. Here’s my beauty:
But most importantly, we’re married! The wedding was amazing and mostly perfect. I started writing about the process in my blog (the link is in my profile) but failed on updating. Hopefully I’ll get around to it again. I’ve been on the boards for so long that it’s weird not being around anymore. I know many of you probably don’t know who I am, but I really wanted to finish my chapter here. The Waiting List has been an amazing resource for me and I’m so glad to have found it. Thanks for listening!

tea: The ring is so beautiful! What is the center stone?

tea: Oh wow Tea, congratulations on your marriage! I hope it’s all you’ve ever dreamed of it being and that you have only the most happy years ahead of you.
You probably don’t know me, but I know you and remember reading some of your older posts after I joined and realized that my SO and I are in a similar LDR situation to what you were in previously. So I’ve always identified with you and I am incredibly happy that you’ve finished your wedding journey/story on such a high note. The proposal sounds incredibly sweet (love the Jim and Pam inspiration!) and I can’t wait to hear about your wedding whenever you get around to posting about it either on your blog or WB. I hope you do eventually.
Btw, your ring is to die for gorgeous and it goes incredibly well with your skin tone. I just love it. Is it rose gold with a morganite center stone?
Oh and you don’t have to leave…unless you feel that’s what’s best for you. Plenty of married Bees post regularly or occasionally. You wouldn’t be out of place if you stayed. 😀

Bridey77: thanks! The center stone is a morganite. (Which people assume is a pink diamond) I came across them on Etsy and quickly became obsessed. Thankfully we found a jeweler nearby that had some in stock so I could try them on to see if I actually liked them in person. We both never thought I’d like a pink stone but there you go! It’s definitely different but fits me perfectly.
MissMarple: thank you so much! And you nailed the ring! I never thought rose gold would be an option before seeing it on Etsy. But I love it so! I hope your LDR situation ends happily as well.
