We paid for our reception (at a country club) by credit card. Both my parents and my husband's parents contributed to the costs, and they had no problems with putting it on their AmEx. Hey, it racked up a lot of frequent flier miles for them :)

Do reception venues usually offer a few ways for you to pay for your reception? I've talked to some places and most are requiring the payment in the form of a cashiers check. Sometimes it's hard to have um...45K for food and booze! Some places give the option of credit card and/or check. Just curious what's common out there!
