You should check out Lucky Heart Photography (her site might be undergoing maintenance, but she's on Facebook too. She just changed the business name. The lady who owns it is named Christina Vawter, and she's amazing. She's also really good at taking flattering shots that are still artsy and cool, which I was worried about, and she's really fun to work with. We haven't had our wedding yet, but I loved our e pics and I love the photos up on her blog of other weddings she's done :).
I am very excited about my photographer, Jeff Dillow. His price was what I was looking for and the package as a whole is amazing. He is beginning his wedding photgraphy career but is a videographer for Channel 13 news and has been passionate about photography since he was young. I explained to Jeff when we first met that I like the photojournalistic pictures better than the posed pictures. He is very organized and professional. We we met, he was prepared for our interview, answered all of our questions and wasn't pushy. We are currently setting up our appointment for our engagement pictures and he is offering his advice on what time of day due to lighting, construction taking place on the Monument Downtown (that's where the proposal took place and we want our pictures there), urban pictures and is doing research on parks with trees to have the rural pictures I want as well. I highly recommend Jeff and his wife!
We booked the husband and wife team of Bungalow Photography. Wonderful people! They made us feel so comfortable when doing our e-pics. Cannot wait for the wedding. Several other friends have used them also. You should definitely check them out!!

My FI and I finally picked our city/venue/date this past weekend. We were torn between my hometown (Ft. Wayne, IN) and where we live now (in KY). I've been researching photographers for months...I may have been looking a little before I had a ring :)
We have found a couple in our budget ($2400) that we like...but none that we love. The ones I love are closer to $3000-6000. We met one this past weekend that's $2800...so not breaking the bank, but if we can find one we love in budget my FI would be much happier.
Any suggestions? We are looking for 2 photographers, 10+ hours, rights to the photos, and an engagement session (but we could do without this if we were closer to $2000-2200 because we could do it with someone else here in KY). Indianapolis is less than 2 hours away so most photographers will travel and it's not too much more. We would be open to anyone that is close enough to meet prior to booking if their travel fee is reasonable.
We like the artsy style where everything doesn't seem posed...when it really seems like they catch a moment that we may not see during all the craziness of the day (does that make sense??)
Thanks!
