I accidentally posted photos to the wrong category - but can't figure out how to delete them or move them to the correct category...
@denray: I went ahead and searched out your gallery posts and moved them for you, but at this time, users don't have the ability to move their own posts into other categories, so if you realize you've mis-posted in the future, you can always post a link to the threads/photos you'd like moved at support.weddingbee.com and one of our hostesses can move it for you!
@Lillindy: Hello. I am wondering why a rating that I wrote for the cake vendor Divine Delecasies Cakes in Miami Florida has been deleted. Your site contacted me asking that I provide proof that I met and delt with them and I did. In fact I provided every single email proving that the bad experience that I had with this vendor was unfortunately, very real! When I went on your site to view my post I realized that your site had removed it. I would like to know why it has been removed. If I like so many others who delt with this vendor had an unsatisfactory review why would you remove mine? I makes me wonder how many other negative ratings you have removed from this vendor and others...
@Bride2Peach: That is handled by a different set of moderators. We don't deal with the vendor reviews section. I'd suggest e-mailing the person from the weddingbee team who contacted you in order to resolve that.
May I ask why users aren't allowed to delete their own posts, except for privacy? I just want to understand the reason behind that.
@missfenway: The basic reasoning behind this is to keep as much content and information on the site as possible. For instance, maybe another bride is buying the same dress and may be looking for how much someone else paid for alterations or what accessories they wore. Or maybe in the case of an emotional subject, you can find someone else who's been through a similar situation and you can connect with what they've said and the advice given. It's structured in a way to be as helpful to other brides as possible :)
How can I change my username? I obviously put my full name in there not even thinking about it when I made my account. Thanks!
@nikole.powell.np: I am sorry, but we cannot change user names. You can sign up for a fresh account if you would like. We just ask that you go to the support forum once you have signed up for the new account and have the old one deactivated as WB only allows one username per email address.
Seriously don't get the non-deletion policy at all. It's kind of ridiculous. Never seen it on any other fourm and it's obviously very self-serving at the expense of members. Just gotta be honest w/you... not a good way to earn loyalty.
@Earlybride: If you click on View your Profile, then Profile, there is an edit button. Click on that and you can change your email address.
@Grixis857: If you have feedback how how the site can be improved, please visit the Ideas forum. That's the best way for WB's members to communicate our needs to the higher ups. :)
Thank you for this information.
Since we can't re-categorize our own posts, is it at all possible have my Photobooth Save the Date post re-categorized to DIY instead of to the whole "Hive"?
@lorelai: Moved! If you see anything else in the wrong category, you can just flag it for us and we'll move it :)

When joining a new forum (or becoming a more active participant in an old one!) it's important to familiarize yourself with the policies of that forum.
We've recently had some feedback that some of our policies aren't as prominently posted as users would like them to be, so here are a few of Weddingbee's more important policies:
Please remember that this is a PUBLIC FORUM, and therefore, anything posted here is open to view on the internet, and Google searches. Please post with discretion and know that anyone can stumble upon what you write here, so please post with care!
Deletion Policy
Basically stated, anything posted on the site is at the discretion of Weddingbee, meaning you don't have a right to have it removed. We do want to respect the privacy of our users, so we are happy to delete or edit anything that might put you at risk of identity theft - if you accidently post your full name, your address or phone number, or put up personally identifying photos.
Of course, you also always have the option to edit your own posts for up to one hour after posting, by clicking the "Edit" button at the bottom of any post.
If you would like to deactivate your account, please post in support. Also please note that your account can only be deactivated, not deleted, and that deactivation closes your account and does not delete any content you've contributed to the site.
You can delete your own photos by following this tutorial, but you still may be able to find them in Google, you'll have to contact Google directly to have them remove it from their cache.
You can see more details of the policy, which is always sticked on the Support board, here.
Self Promotion Policy
You may have noticed that each month we feature a "Share Your Blogs" thread. This is because our self promotion policy does not allow for users to post links to their own blog on the Bios, Boards, DIY or Gallery pages under normal circumstances. Our self promotion policy started off as a way to keep our vendor guests from filling the forums with advertising, but as we've seen an increasing number of users who fit the role of both vendor and bride, we've had to tweak the policy a little, to remain fair and consistent.
There are special rules for vendors (because none of us want to be inundated with advertising or spam!), but for non-vendor users, the general rule of thumb is that you may not link to your personal blog, your etsy shop, contests you are a part of, or anything that will bring you material gain (i.e. referral links to deals on Groupon, where if three people buy through your link, you get something free; if 10 people comment on your photos on your photog's blog, you get a free gallery wrap canvas; etc.).
For more on our self promotion policy, please read this thread by Mr. Bee and this thread by Lorienne.
