where did you find them?  On your head is no big deal.  The ones sprouting out of my chin get me.

my little niece likes to pull the "shiny ones" out of my head.

The first time I found one, I was so sad! I told my DH about it and that it was on the left side of my head. The next day, we were standing in line for something and he was behind me. I had my hair up, and he was like, "I see your grey hair..." He pulled it and it was totally on my RIGHT side! I told him that he needed to stop pointing them out to me! Haha...

I started finding them after we had our first daughter (I was 21) and since then I have grown a Stacy London-like white streak close to the front of my head.  Trendy?  Maybe, but I will go all out to make sure it is covered up.  Short of hair dye and tweezing them out (yes, I almost gave myself a bald spot doing this once) that's about all I can do!

    Don't be sad!

At least you aren't going bald :-)

A friend of mine who is 6'4", was standing in line at 7-11 where they have the survalence cameras on the cashier. As he's standing there, he starts to wonder who the bald guy standing in line is. He's starting to feel sorry for him, when he realized it was the top of his head. Whoops! Had no idea he was thining that much up there.

I started finding them at age 19.  DH pulled one out of my head the other day that he spotted.  I feel your pain!

I started graying at the age of 16. And I have dark black hair, so it's uber obvious if I don't dye my hair (Which I do, a lot). I'm going to be just like my great-grandmother, completely gray by 35. Hip hip hooray for me! People are going to think my kiddos are my grandkids. Sigh. Hang in there lady!

FI has had a sprinkling of grey hairs since I've known him, and will most likely be completely grey by the time he's 40, but I love it on him.  As for myself, I'm not so lucky - every so often, I find a WHITE hair.  It was literally two months after I turned 30 when we found the first one - talk about things going downhill!

I have been dying my hair blond for years...finally, this October, I decided to go back to my natural brunette. Well, wouldn't ya know...as my hair grew out (and there was no longer any dye) I started to see gray hairs! Yikes!

It doesn't bother me too much, I'm 28 and would rather get them now and not associate them much with aging (hey! I'm young!) as opposed to be 40 and in a mid-life crisis and then notice them...just my perspective!

@ViaMinorViator:  I know someone who has a friend that was on What Not to Wear...she said Stacy London was fiercly protective of her grey streak. She rocks it and she rocks it well!

I've been finding grey hairs since 2 years ago! Right after I turned 20!!!!! I am glad though that I'm NOT like my great-grandma.... at that age, her entire HEAD was white! :S

Im 22 and have found some white ones! I get really paranoid about them and make DH pull them out every time I spot one. I have never dyed my hair before, and I doubt I will have enough greys to need to for the next couple years, but I guess I will have to succumb to the hairdresser eventually! My cousin went completely grey at 16 so I think it is genetic *sob*

@Miss Orchard: I hear ya, I'm turning 29 in June and am totally not ready. But then again, you're right I'd rather get them while I'm still young so I can ease into it. Laughing

@mmsva:  Yay! That means I have exactly 7 wise things on my head. Hooray!

I'm 25 and have dark brown hair...and tons of grays! They are just so easy to see in dark hair. Found my first at age 17 :(

I just dye it my natural color every few months to keep the gray at bay!

I've been plucking grey hairs from my FI's head recently...  and he's 28.  I'm 9 months older and I'm good!

I named my first one Ethel. She lives in on the left hand side of my bang area. I save her when I color my hair.

My appreciation of the grey hair is limited to one, however, when the other ones came in those suckas had to go.

Oh man, I'm totally getting a streak in the front and I've been freaking out haha!!  I was pulling them out, but it's almost to the point now where I can't keep pulling them out or I'll get a bald spot.  I'm only 28!

I'm 23 and I had found grey hairs here and there before, but just recently I got a grey patch right behind where my bangs start. It drives me crazy and I feel like I have to keep dying my hair now. It's like one spot so it's more noticeable! I feel like maybe others don't notice it as much, but since I know it's there I go insane. haha. It doesn't help that my FI pointed it out to me!! He was just teasing me because I was talking about having some grey hairs... but I didn't realize there were so many in that one spot until then! So now I keep giving him a hard time... but we tease each other like that. lol.

I found a grey hair when I was 13! They've since multiplied... My hair dresser thought I had highlights when I went in last time since I hadn't gone in a year and to her surprise I'm just THAT grey at 26!

LOL I thought I was going to be so cool about gray hairs... until I found my first one two years ago (at the age of 25).

I cried into FI's chest for about an hour (which seems insane now). I only have a few and I pull them out when they get long enough. I told FI I only pull them now because I don't even have kids to blame them on. I'll admit to having grays when I have a kid.
