That was just ONE receipt though. There could be more that he has kept or thrown out. You just happened for find the old one. Don't stress it!!
aww! how cool! I would die if I found something like that. It would turn into an obsession. 0_0 but yes you have no idea there could be many others! :) so excited for you!
I don't know if he hid it there for you or perhaps he was ckeaning something out and left the receipt on the table by accident but.. If the receipt was from September wouldn't he have needed to make some payments other than that one up until now? Monthly payments or anything? Maybe it's almost paid for, or maybe it is even!
Congrats! It's exciting, happy you have this little hint into your future :)
So I mentioned it to him at dinner that night. His response, "Why are you looking at my things?" I laughed and said, "babe, it's on the dining table and I was home all day. I saw it when I was tidying papers". He then looked sheepish and was quiet.
Yesterday was our annivesary but he is taking me out on Friday because I had to work last night and have class until 8pm tonight. I am planning a romantic skating night at a secluded rink - it's a surprise after dinner, with pie and warm beverages :)
Anyway, I hope he has the ring paid by now so he can propose soon (Hopefulyl Friday since it will be a lovely evening). It is not a pricey piece and he has money, but has been saving for a trip to Scotland in April so I don't know what his finances are like right now. I am hoping it is before Scotland... but I don't really have any idea.
@SillyStacey: awww how cute! I hope you guys enjoy your lovely evening! :)
I hope it happens soon! :)
That's exciting!! :) now, no more looking for clues or you'll go crazy lol just focus on school and your love together and I'm sure it'll come soon!

I am in grad school and I am supposed to be finishing a paper, but I just need to share this with someone. I was sorting through some papers on the dining table and I saw a jewellers receipt. I got really excited to see how recent the last payment was. He had told me that he made a payment in September (actually the day before we were going to go on vacation and we had a fight on the vacation about him not proposing since it was a perfect place for a proposal).
Well, the receipt is from September! The one and only payment I can confirm! BAH! I was hoping he would have made another payment by now. Maybe he left it out to remind me that if a proposal doesn't come on our anniversary on Wednesday that he is still working towards it?
Okay... seriously I have to calm down and get back to work.
