Awe. Could you try craigslist or some no-kill rescue organizations (that can find foster homes until the kitty finds a real home)? Or mail him to me ;)
I hope you find someone to take her soon! Did you try posting on Facebook? Take pictures too so they see how cute she is.
Please do NOT try Craigslist (or, if you do, please charge a small fee). Lots of sickos find free animals on Craigslist and the like to use as bait when training dogs for dog fighting, to torture for fun, or other terrible things.
I agree that Facebook is a good place to start. Where are you located? Maybe some people here can help you find some local resources.
My SO posted it on Facebook asking if anyone would like the adorable litte one, but we have't taken any pictures.
We're in Columbus, there is one place that may or may not take her tomorrow they only take cats "by appointment." I have no idea what that means. The best plan we can come up with is to wrap a garbage bag around the cat carrier we have so she will at least have some shelter from the rain. :(
@callirome: You should definitely post photos. It's really hard to ignore adorable kitten photos.
Please post some here, too! If nothing else, we'll get to squee over the kitten. With luck, a girl near you will realize that she has a kitten-shaped hole in her heart, and this one will fill it!
If it's okay with you, I'll also post the photos to my Facebook. My parents live in Ohio, so I can boost the signal and see if anyone I know from that area is in need of a new kitty.
My husband and I found a stray cat last week and have since adopted her. She didn't get along well with our other 2 cats or our dog but even in a few days she's improved so much. Is there any way to keep her for a little bit until you can find her a home? We kept ours in a bathroom for a week because she was being treated for fleas, but maybe you could keep the cat in a separate room so it won't upset your other pets?
Definitely post pictures on fb and hopefully you can give it a bit of time to find it a new home.
@pinklemonade12: We just found out she has fleas, and we don't know what else. We have three other adult cats who really hate kittens (the youngest one actually almost got killed multiple times by the older ones) and the kitten really hates our puppy. I would love to keep her, but we really don't have the money. We can't afford to de-flea, de-worm, and give her shots, plus spay her.
A few months ago the same thing happened to me and my husband... we have 3 cats as well.. and though we would have loved to keep the kitty ... three cats was our limit.... we took her to the vet and they gave us a discount to help with the fleas and any other problems...I found a local animal clinic that spays and neuters stray cats ... i think it was 30$?
We are in the Cincinnati area... but check out this place...http://www.adoptastray.com/. Our vet gave us this information to help us find it a home. My mom in Pittsburgh ended up taking her in for us... but this place will take stray cats and find them foster houses till they are adopted and they have a place at our vets where they keep them in cages in an area for people to adopt.
It might be worth the drive to bring the kitty here if they have room.
@Petor2011: Sad thing is we can't even afford that. I haven't been getting good hours at work lately and we have to get our dog spayed, we have a parking ticket to pay, and with the holidays coming up, all of our spare money is going to gifts, or into savings to have gas money for all the driving we have to do. I may just find some way to get the wiggle room, but we'll see.

Sorry for the poor quality cell phone picture. This is the kitty with our roommate.

Here are a few more shots. She is just the sweetest thing, breaks my heart, really does.
I would also say CL, just be honest and upfront in your ad and I am sure that her short story will tug on someones heart strings and they will giver her a good home.
@callirome: we didn't give her a flea treatment the first day but we bathed her with cat shampoo ( something gentle would work) and used a comb to get rid of most of the fleas. It took two hours but by the time we were done we couldn't see any fleas and it definitely helped her feel better and kept fleas from getting on our other pets. I hope someone near you can take her.
@pinklemonade12: We gave her a bath with dog shampoo (since it's the only thing we have in the house for animals) and I've only actually seen a few fleas (on me not her, fleas love me, gah!) so hopefully those won't be a problem. But there's still the shots and the de-worming and spaying and if we keep her my roomie wants us to de-claw her.
Good news! My roomie may be keeping her, and if he doesn't, my Mom is going to try and convince my stepdad to take her. Thank god!
YAY! That is awesome. She is so sweet & it was really great of you guys to take her in, bathe & comb her, etc. :)

SO and I found a stray kitten hidding out from the rain under a car in the parking lot of our apartment complex today. We called every shelter/rescue/pound we could find numbers for in our area and no one will take her. I looked at fbipets.com to see if someone had listed her, no luck. We gave her a bath and cleaned her up because she was really grimy and gross and we've been letting her stay inside to eat a little and dry off. I feel really bad because she is super, super sweet and loving, but we can't afford to keep her. Besides the money, she keeps hissing at our dog and our cats (we have three already) are all older and don't like new animals in the house.
I want to cry I'm so upset, I don't know how to help this poor little baby.
