So after a few months of searching we finally found a band to go with my unique ring.  I wanted something smaller FI wanted something bigger...we went bigger and I like what we chose...I think

He wants to get a second band to go on the opposite side for symmetry purposes..so I made a mock up to see what it would look like.  I could not try it in the store because they only had one band available.  We are waiting to get the second band until we can try them all on.  What do you think?  Too much or go for the symmetry?

Thanks primp!  I am slightly on the fence because I am not used to having that much on my finger...the two sales people at the jewelers think it will look fine as does my FI...they measured what it would be and showed how much off my finger it would take up, which looked like less than I expected.  So now we are waiting till they get a second ring in to try with it.

it is blingy and I LOVE IT. I have 3 bands also and I love the pow factor and the symmetry. When i had to get a stone in one band replaced, i only had one band for a few weeks.....it was definitely missing something

My vote is the blingier look...it looks amazing, especially with that style. I think the two wedding band look in particular favors styles with more intricate settings for some reason.  LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE it =]

PS it may feel/look like a lot at first but you SOOOOO get used to it. At first i used to think "wow my e-rin is huge!" and thought i was crazy for adding 1.5 carats in two wedding bands and now it just looks normal to me. You can always take to wearing the second band for special occassions only but it looks fab

As stated previously, I don't think there is a thing as too much bling, unless it's causing phyisical harm to yourself. I.e. a rock so big it gives you back problems. :p

I am all about the bling, but for some reason I like the photo with just the one band better.

Hey! Yeah, sure, here's my finger full o sparkle. Mine looks better with two bands, too. Then again, i'm all about symmetry...i just couldn't get over the one-band look, like it was missing something.

    Here's mine! I love her =]

Thanks ejs4y8!! I agree about the symmetry...I had always wanted a band on each side for that reason, I was just worried that with the extra width it would look too chunky.  Yours looks great though!  Did you have them soldered together?  or did you just leave them all separate?  I am not sure if I want mine all soldered together or not...I like the idea of being able to take them off separetly.

No mine aren't soldered b/c i have excema. Honestly they don't flip around at all--it's like they fit my finger so perfectly they never knock against each other. when my skin acts up, i switch to one wedding band. i've only had to do that once or twice but it's a nice option. i don't think it's "too" chunky, i think it's bold. I love bold rings tho

    I concede.

After seeing the photo of ejs4y8's ring, i agree the symmetry is better.

Okay, I think you should go for whatever you feel looks best.

That being said, I personally believe that there can be too much bling.  After a while I think it begins to look more like a status symbol instead of a wedding ring.  Sure, it's GREAT that you and your man are financially stable and can afford it, but are you getting it because you really want it or because you can?

I personally really like the one band look with your ring.  Just my opinion.

I LOVE it! I have a 2 band set up which I would have never guessed that I would have liked bc I don't usually even wear jewelry, and always felt like I was playing dress up with something "blingy" but I love the way it looks and I love the way the two bands look on your finger. As far as too much bling goes, I think that  just depends on your personal taste...my taste is that it looks great on you.

Ejs4Y8- Your rings are so, so beautiful together as well!
