I am so happy – I bought my dress today. After a search filled with highs and lows, I ordered the Allure W264, and I could not be happier. As a plus sized bride (with a large chest, 40H), I thought I’d have to settle for something that I did not love, but I am completely simitten with my dress. The sample size is a bit too small for me in the bust area ut you’ll get the idea. I’ll also remove the train, since we won’t have a church wedding. This would give me the option to add straps. Which look do you like better – straps or no straps?

It might be because the photos are taken at different angles, but I think adding the straps balances out the dress.
Beautiful dress choice! Congrats! 🙂

Beautiful dress! I agree with the PP, straps balance out the dress.

Let me start with Beautiful Dress!!! Love it on you! Call me crazy but I like it more with out the straps…. I actually thought it was 2 different dresses at first. Both look good just my opinion but your the one who has to love it either way it looks great!

Beautiful either way! Really!
I love the look without straps, and voted that way. I noticed you were “adorned” in the bust area, as am I. I will be wearing straps to feel safer, but if you feel comfortable, you look lovely both ways!

Beautiful! I like it both ways, honestly. Whichever one you’re more comfortable in.

Typically I prefer dresses with straps, especially on bigger-busted women, but I actually LOVE your dress in the 1st picture. I think it’s extremely flattering and very pretty and even though you say the sample was small in the chest, I think it looks great the way it is!
Then again, if you feel more comfortable with the straps, the ones you would be getting look good too.
Congrats on the dress!

I vote for straps – we were just talking about straps vs. sleeveless at my shower yesterday and multiple girls said they lost some weight in the stressful weeks before the wedding and their strapless dress were a huge pain in the A. They had to keep pulling their dresses up all night – and they were even corset dresses, which are alleged to be more adjustable! I am wearing a dress with straps because I think it’ll be way more comfy, which is important to me for a dress I’ll be wearing at least 10 hours. But I honestly think you look fab in both pics so whichever your gut tells you!

Thanks, everyone, you’re all so kind!! I guess the decision does not need to be made for a few months. I completely know where both camps are coming from, which is why I asked the question to begin with. As a full chested woman, I have never once in my life worn anything strapless, and so straps to me = security and comfort. On the other hand, I did also love the look without them. I suppose we’ll have to wait and see.
By the way, was anyone else surprised by the huge variation in the definition of “ivory” – the sample dress that I have on is ivory, and that is what I ordered, but it kind of looks really white to me. Do you agree :)? I surely hope it was really ivory, and the dress that gets here won’t be dramatically darker.
