I think a pale yellow or gray would look lovely!! Or you can add cap sleeves:)
I think a yellow cardigan is cut over a shapely dress.

@sooner365: I love that cardi!
@PandaK: I also think this one is soooo pretty, and the Etsy Shop has yellow too!

I think you should see this as a fun challenge...there are so many options depending on the time of year your wedidng is to take place. Cardigans, boleros, shrugs, and you even have the option of adding capped sleeves. You got your dress at a bargian and she's gorgous. Use all that money you saved to make it uniquely YOU.
I love the idea of a cardigan, but then again, I am a cardigan type of girl! I think you should add a yellow caridgan to your dress!
If you can afford it, I'd get a fancier white shrug for the ceremony, and a yellow cardigan for the reception. The yellow cardigan would definitely be re-wearable, if you need to justify it coming out of your household budget, instead of your wedding budget.
I like moara's idea. You could be a two-look bride, with only one dress. I did something similar. I had removable lace cap sleeves added to my dress that I wore to the ceremony and took off for the reception. And I think the yellow cardigan would give you a more "party" look.
Have you considered adding a grey sash to your dress? I think that sashes help define the waist for us curvier brides and draw attention away from less flattering areas (for me, that's my arms!) I wore a blue one and it made me look (and feel) thinner.
@Mrs.tobe: I LOVE that!
I'm not a huge fan of cardigans with wedding dresses. I think it's a bit too casual. I love a fancy bolero though!
maybe try one of these? http://www.wraporshrug.co.uk/
I ordered one last month and am anxiously awaiting its arrival!
i was gunna say a yellow cardigan or yellow knit bolero would look so lovely!
Congratulations on finding the one! It's lovely. I second (third?) the idea of wearing a white lace bolero for the ceremony and then switching to a colored cardi for the reception. Take a look at Rosa Clara's bridal tops, they will give you an idea of what you can do!
Love your wedding colors btw. Yellow and grey sounds awesome.
I am also planning on adding sleeves or straps of some sort to whatever dress I get, so I understand your dilemma. I really like PPs' idea of two looks - a lace bolero for the ceremony and then something more fun and colorful for the reception. It'll be a fun switch, and much cheaper than being a two dress bride!
Also, congrats on your amazing deal! That dress looks WAY more expensive than $99 :)
Thank you for all the suggetions. I do like the idea of have both a lace bolero and a cardigan. I already have the perfect cardigan, so now I'll just need to search for a bolero.
@Mrs.tobe: I was thinking something like this! A nice fitted cap-sleeve bolero in a silk/satin/taffeta material with flowers or ruffle embellishments of some sort. You could get it in ivory and have the accents in yellow, or yellow and the accents in ivory, or combo grey/ivory accents, or the whole thing in a solid color -- lots of room for customization!
I considered this lace bolero until I had one custom-made by my alterations person: http://www.etsy.com/listing/61122781/the-lacey-bridal-shrug-white-or-ivory.
There are a few I found that were similar but cheaper, if you're on a tight budget: http://www.etsy.com/listing/71920358/white-sleeveless-bridal-alencon-lace
My biggest concern was having lace that was close to what was on my dress, so I decided to go custom (which somehow actually ended up being cheaper than the first option). You may want to check in with a local alterations person to see if they can do something.
In the end, I had something made with a keyhole back that snapped into my dress (cost ~$200):

Sorry if this is TMI--I really struggled with my bolero decision and didn't find a ton of WeddingBee threads on the topic while I was looking, so I thought I'd share what my hours of research uncovered.
I say go for a bolero. Much classier. I found these on another thread...

Check Etsy, too! They seem to have a lot of interesting things in the way of boleros...

I went to David's Bridal over the weekend with my mom and sisters. I tried on a few dre ssesand fell in love with a fit and flare, lace one. I felt so lucky that day. The dress was on sale for $99 and I tried on the only left in my size. Now, I'm feeling worried. I'm a plus size girl and very self conscious about my body, especially my arms and shoulders. I never wear tank tops or sleeveless anything without something to go over it. I’m just not sure what I should do to cover up in my wedding dress. I love the look of both cardigans and colored satin boleros, but I don’t know if they would look good with my dress. I’m thinking that a white lace bolero would be the best option, but I just love the idea of wearing something yellow (wedding colors are grey and yellow). So if anyone could offer some advice on what would look best, I would be so grateful. Unfortunately, I don’t have a pic of me in the dress, just the model pic.
