@Jessicachantal:  Can you buy the sample?  I don’t know why the shop would hold on to it if the dress is discontinued.

Could you go back to the original store, explain the situation and purchase the sample for a discount? I would imagine if no one can order the dress, they would be pleased to get rid of it. With the corset back, it should not be too difficult to get it altered to fit you by a good seamstress. I don’t see clips all over you in the photo, so I am guessing it’s quite close to fiting you now. Best of luck!

Check out Essense of Australia – my gown was somewhat similar to this, though it’s also discontinued now.  THey have a number of similar styles, though.

You could inquire about buying the sample?

@Jessicachantal:  Urgh! They sound awful. I would be devastated to find a coffee stain on my dress. Why would they even drink coffee near white dresses? (face palm!)

If you want the sample, figure out what the dress was worth new, and then offer them a much smaller figure, especially as it’s not the ivory you wanted. If they won’t give you a great deal, then walk away. If you do purchase, then have them hang the dress and go over it with a fine tooth comb, note down any and all faults, no matter how minor, if you find anything you are not happy with, don’t buy it. And whatever happens, don’t let them do the alterations!!!

If it doesn’t work out, you could search the used dress stores online to try to find it. If not, I am sure you can find something that looks great on you that is similar. You have a great figure and should have a ton of options.

@Jessicachantal Have you looked at the Maggie Soterro Adeline Marie?  I think it looks fairly similar and its a bit fuller.

I think I have seen something similiar from Maggie Sottero in regards to the bodice. Don’t know specific name though. You might like Mori Lee or Allure bridal gowns as well…not sure what your budget is.

Have you tried the wtoo hera? Its gorgeous on, lots of beading, fit and flare, full skirt. Its the one I chose! Make sure to look at real people in it rather than the model, who looks really awkward in it.

Have you looked at Casablanca gowns?  I have found several that have some of the same elements as the dress that you love.

I personally tried on this first dress and it is BEAUTIFUL in real life.  Both of these dresses are from the Spring 2013 collection.
