@chic_and_fabulous:  I would find someplace else. I had a “dream” place but it was a “never in a million years worth it” place. I kept looking and find something that ended up being more my style, more my budget. I would keep looking. Personally I think if something is super expensive and makes you second guess your budget/timeline, it’s not the right thing and it’s somewhere out there still! That perfect place in your budget, etc!

I’d have the wedding somewhere more affordable. You’re just hosting a party there, not buying the place!

I had to give up our dream venue…and found one that I love just as much! Don’t worry, there will be something else.

If money is not a problem, why not go with it as long as you love it? For me, I just can not afford such a big cost.

If you can afford it, I’d say go for it. But if it were me, I wouldn’t just because I literally wouldn’t able to even be able to afford it.

Does that include tax and gratuity? Mine is technically 186 pp but it’s a lot more once they add in the fees

@chic_and_fabulous:  Of course! I was comparing everything back to the original venue I loved, but knew that we just weren’t going to swing it (unless of course we fed people next to nothing!) and so we kept looking.

If you’re not set on Key West, maybe look some other places. I’m actually originally from South Florida…there are lots of places around. Are you looking for a beach-y feel?
