Top of the morning to ya’!
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect bridal shoe for months and months due to some very specific qualifications, such as:
-2.5 heel, max 3
-platform for some comfort
-blinged out as hell
-peep toe or slingback option
The only shoes I found that came in my size (10.5-11 depending) were by Marc Defang. Now, my cousin bought her wedding shoes from them and she loved them. I saw them in person and..WOW
Only thing is, the options are
3.5″ with 1 1/4″ platforms. Yes we have both slingbacks (with open toes) and peep toe (closed back). Both can be done size 10.5 or 11.
wide fit in 4″ heels with 3/4″ platforms
UGH. Im thinking of getting a size 11 regular in the 3.5 with 1 1/4 platform in peep toe sling back so because I figure the slingback will give me some room, although I hate the flip flop feeling of slingback, and my dress is a bit hard to walk in with the train and tulle and layers etc..etc.. add to that my natural clumsyness..and its a recipe for disaster, really..
Im just worried the peep toe will cut into my big toe if its not wide enough and my foot will push down, which I hate, and my foot will be slipping down and off the back of the shoe.
If I get the 4′ heel, which is not a bad option, sometimes I find higher heels to be more comfterable than small heels, on the plus side they are wide so I can get my actual 10.5 wide and they will probably fit great. The bad side is they will make me the same height or a little taller than my future hubby, and I do not under any circumstance want to do that. I want my hubby to be a bit taller than me for pictures and because I know he hates it when Im all almost taller than him and gloating, I cant help it. I want to look dainty, eventhough Im not at all, except for my height, with the 4′ heels will make me look like a confident goddess. Also, they may be a bit trickier to walk in because they are higher, and my dress is really worrying me. I feel I may be able to manage walking and my dress better with a lower heel that I wont even feel. And, I may need to take these shoes off asap, dancing in 4 inch heels only lasts me maybe 3 -4 hours tops.
So, what to do ladies?
Shorter heels in a regular width with a peep toe and slingback? To hopefully fit my wide foot? Or, higher heels that may make me unstable (may not) but will fit me perfectly, but may have to take them off sooner than the other heels because they will maybe hurt more?
Im sorry for going on a tangent.
Is there anyone out there that bought marc defang shoes? Are they narrow? wide? true to size? comfterable? anything!! give me the 411 ladies!
And your opinions of course..I value each one!
thank you for reading guys!!
