Hey bees!!! I have my epics on thursday and I want to buy a new foundation. I usually wear a bb cream with SPF and I know that SPF is a big no-no for photography.
So far I have narrowed it down to these 2 brands, Mac (not entirely sure which one by MAC) and MUFE. BUT I would love some feedback on what you ladies used for your wedding day or epic day. My skin type is oily/acne prone. Thanks:)

Bare Minerals. Can’t beat it – and the mineral veil has spf in it. I won’t use anything else.

I used Nars Sheer Glow foundation and LOVED it. It made my skin look flawless.

I wore the Two Faced BB cream for my e-pics and it looked totally normal. I’d seriously like to see these supposed effects that SPF does to your skin in photos, because I’ve never noticed anything but I see it mentioned quite often lol.

I haven’t used it yet, but I will be using Make Up Forever Matte Velvet foundation

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
I used Smashbox 15 hour moisturizing foundation on my wedding day, but have used MUFE HD in the past with decent results. MUFE just didn’t have the staying power to be my wedding day choice.
I had airbrush foundation for my e-pics, which revealed that my skin reacts to airbrush make-up. It was awesome (sarcasm). I can’t use MAC at all because their stuff causes my skin to react.

My dear friend and MUA used Shu Umera on me; however, I recently learned that it is no longer available in the U.S. I saw that @RahlyRah: recommended NARS, and I used to wear one of his foundations and really liked it. (I haven’t tried the one she is recommending, but NARS makes great cosmetics.)

@Westwood: SPF will cast a white look in photos from the titanium dioxide. I have seen it happen to me many times in photos, I end up looking ghostly! Only night time when flash is being used.
@nutMeg13: I have this stuff! I am not sure if I like it yet.. I feel my skin maybe isn’t oily enough for it because it really does get rid of any moisture in your skin. Using lotion right before helped my skin not look so caky.
@lovekiss: I have heard that MAC does cause skin to breakout, so I might scratch that off my possible list to buy. My skin is so sensitive.
@Brielle: Thank you for the recommendation! I totally forgot about NARS. I will give that a shot!!!
@RahlyRah: Ohhhh I love the excitement, def gonna try NARS now!!

NYX HD is a dupe for MUFE HD at a fraction of the cost. It’s what I used on my wedding day.

I decided to use Revlon PhotoReady for both our engagement photos and wedding. Since I did my own make up for both I did a trial with several types of foundation. I would apply one on half of my face then another on the other side. At the end of the day I looked in the mirror to see how it “wore”. Did it stay? Was it greasy? I wanted it to last and was very happy with the outcome of the pics.

I have super sensitive, combination skin and I’ve been wearing Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer for a while. For the wedding, I purchased her full-coverage compact foundation. I wore it for one week and got great feedback from friends/coworkers. I love the heavier coverage, the silky feel, and that it does’t irritate my skin or cause breakouts.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
I ended up buying Estee Lauder double wear light, and Make up Forever face and body.
I used the Estee Lauder foundation today and so far, its been good! I did a very light application. They have minimal colour selections, my skin was matched to the lightest shade and I usually wear the 3rd lightest shade for colours. I even took pics of my skin at lunch (5 hours of wearing it) and my skin wasn’t even oily!! YAY! Love it so far.
Tomorrow I will be using Make Up forever face and body. Ill see if it compares.

Hourglass Veil fluid foundation totally in love with it now but is so expensive. I actuallly paid for the girl at sephora to have a hotel the day of our wedding and she came! I am clueless about makeup! I’m out now and am feening for it! It covered my rosacea!!! Yay!
