So I heard a while back that foundations containing SPF make your face appear lighter in photos (When using flash, i believe) I think it may be true because every time I take pictures my face looks so pale compared to the rest of my body. When I apply my makeup, it looks fine. My face and body are all one color.
The foundation I use is Revlon ColorStay and I really love it.. But does anyone know of any good foundations without SPF? Almost every foundation I come across has it. Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks in advance.

@RubyStar: I think the new formula of Estee Lauder Double Wear has no SPF. Also, MAC Face & Body. here’s a website I found that might be useful:

For our engagement photos, I wore only a photo finish primer and a photo finish powder (both from nyx) and my skin looked fantastic!
I haven’t posted them yet, but I will soon.
Before the photos, I had tested a makeup look without foundation, but I still got the “white” face… I realized that the face lotion I had put on beforehand had SPF in it! Whoops.
I think Makeup Forever has a foundation without SPF (they should… they market themselves as the preferred makeup for models!!)

I am currently using Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum and it is awesome. I have never bought a foundation a second time before, and I don’t think I’ll be straying from this one any time soon. I don’t think it would be good if you have oily skin though, it’s pretty dewy but mattes down with powder.

Make Up Forever HD Liquid Foundation doesn’t have SPF. I used it on my wedding day and I’m even using it now. I love it and it photographs very well.
I like Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Foundation too and it doesn’t have SPF.
You can always use SPF in your moisturizer By The Way if you get non-SPF foundation for everyday. That’s what I do.
I would love to buy Revlon ColorStay but simply cannot find the right shade!

#1 for Make Up Forever. I am very fair skinned to begin with, and it works great. It’s pricey, however. It goes on very smoothly and stays for a very long time.

@baileyjosephine: thanks for the info.. I’ll look into them!
@CakeyP: ooh I’d love to see the photos! I have only tried Nyx lip and eye products, ill take at look at their face stuff next time.. Thanks!
@pixiecat: is that sold is U.S.? I think I’ve heard of it when I was researching foundations!.. It has good reviews!
@MRSsrm85: I’ve been curious about the Urban Decay one, now I’m definitely more interested. ColorStay is good.. Can feel a little heavy if you over do it, so I go easy on it! I actually buy 2 shades and mix them to get the right color… I sometimes self tan so every day I’m a different color! Haha

@RubyStar: asos.com has some Bourjois products, but the Healthy Mix Serum is out of stock. I got mine in Canada where they have the brand in stores.

I find it so annoying that Revlon Photoready is called photoready but it has SPF in it!
