So, my fiancé’s brother is getting married this upcoming weekend and his bride to be took a wrong step this past Friday (three days ago) and fell and broke her hip at 25 years old!!!! After emergency surgery and spending the weekend in the hospital, she is home. As I would be freaking out if I were in her shoes, she is cool, calm and collected. Her facebook status this weekend said “One week!!!! Then its crutches down the aisle!” What a fantastic attitude! Just thought I would share with everyone. You never know what may happen right before your big day, but having an attitude like this certainly makes for a smoother ride even when life hits you hard! If you are religious, say a little prayer for her!

@Mrs.DsBeeloved: Wow good for her! I thought you would enjoy this touching article about a bride who was paralyed during her bachelorette party and still made it down the aisle.

Wow! That is unfortunate and she has a fantastic attitude!
I’ve had my pinkie finger smashed in a car trunk, been punched in the face by a psycho skateboarder and rear ended in the last 3 months. I have not taken it as well as your BIL’s bride and I’m getting married this weekend and kind of afraid to leave the house at this point!

Wow! Freak accident for sure. It’s really good to hear she’s just taking it as is though and not flipping out like I know I would be!

- Wedding: September 2014 - county fairgrounds
i love her attitude about it, i’ve been scared to death that i’m going to screw something up like that like on my wedding day sprain my ankles (very weak ankles from turning them and spraining them in basketball for so many years) or my knee only has about half of my platellal tendoin still intact (the tendoin that connects your knee cap to your shin) from a bad basketball accident and it’s been getting worse as time goes on and i’m terrified that i’m going to fall somewhere or go running and the rest of it will just snap right before my wedding. i know i’ll have to have the tendoin replaced someday i just pray that it’s not before my wedding in september.
i just have to say let god be with your fbil’s bride because she’s staying so bright and uplifted about it nothing can get her down
