I have been stalling big time on biting the bullet and ordering a dress (from Dressilyme). My wedding is like 5 1/2 months away and I still have ordered my dress! I’m so embarassed! I am freaking out about 2 dresses. I have posted them before and thought I was leaning towards one but I can’t stop going back and forth. I’m starting to think I should order both and decide at the last second, but that is such a waste!
Here are the two I’m freakout out about.
#1 I would make quite a bit of changes. I would add beaded lace (it is just lace right now). I would also make the neck a sweetheart and instead of an A-line make it a mermaid or fit and flare
#2 I would add the straps shown in the picture and have the back become a keyhole. This one has a corset which I like but not as much as the back of the first one.
Help….I’m torn and running out of time!
Dress #1 front
Dress #1 back
Dress #2 front (with straps placed)
Dress #2 back (not a good fit)
What I want the back of dress #2 to look like (keyhole)

Dress 2! It’s super flattering and you look gorgeous…for me there is no contest!
Edit:aaannnnnd the material looks more expensive! 😉

dress number 2 for sure! and i like the added keyhole. I want keyhole as well!

@LissBliss: You think? When I tried it on I thought #1 looked more expensive…it’s nice to hear other people’s opinions. I like the whiteness of #1. Do you think if I ordered #2 in white instead of ivory it would look bad or cheapen it?

Dress 2! You look like a Hollywood bombshell in it!
The top one makes you look top heavy, though I love the back of it too.
I also think that you are making so many modifications to dress 1 that it may be too difficult for dressilyme to get right, especially given your limited timeframe.

@kittyk1500: yes! I have always wanted a dramatic back which drew me to #1. If I get the keyhole on dress #2 I think it will do the trick!

I think dress #2 is more flattering!

I think #2 looks best on you and looks like a higher quality dress. In my eyes, #2 is the clear choice 🙂 You look stunning!

@clairebbbear: Aw thank you so much! You’re right, #1 needs a lot of work and the amount of changes needed scares me!

definitely #2. i really think adding the straps like you want will help you feel better about it 🙂
Just looking at these pictures, #2 by far blows #1 away. #1 might look like better quality, but I agree that it makes you look slightly disproportional. No amount of high-quality materials can make up for not quite right fit/proportions.
#2 hugs you in just the right places and you look stunning. From these pictures, I like the color of #2 as it is, it looks nice with your skin tone.

#2 no question! So beautiful!

2 — easy. You look wonderful in it. 1 makes you a bit top-heavy — and if you need to make that many changes it isn’t the right dress.

NO question, dress 2 looks super flattering on you and I LOOOOVE the back, especially with the keyhole you’re planning to add!

I agree with @LissBliss: I think dress number 1 looks cheaper than dress 2 (I hope you don’t find me saying that rude I just wanted to offer a truthful opinon) Both dresses are very similar but I feel dress 2 its just a much nicer fabric (I also sew a lot so I notice that before anything) however, both dresses compliment your figure very nicely and I think you will look beautiful in either!
