@bmo88:  I had an all outdoor wedding and I was obsessed with the weather reports.  Not only was it changing every day, but it varried drastically between the different sites.  I first started looking 10 days out when I could finally see something.  It initally said it would be 102 degrees F!!  Then it said it would be in the 90’s, then it said it was going to rain.  Then it jumped up to the high 90’s, but overcast.  It was really upsetting.  The day before the wedding, it was apx. 84 and the day of, it was 81 with a nice breeze.  To me, it was just perfect!  If it had been much cooler, the ceremony would have been alright but it would have been freezing at night!  I had a few people come up and tell me we couldn’t have picked a better day for weather :).

I found that a few days before, you can pretty much get an over all idea, but for the most part it was only the report the day before that was acurate.  I can’t imagine trying to plan around times with rain, etc.  Good luck!!!  I bet it will all work out just perfect.  Sounds like you have some good plans in place.

Fingers crossed!

We had rain forecasted for our wedding day right up until the night before. Day of was gorgeous and sunny- everyone I talked to told me how lucky we were because the weather was absolutely gorgeous (not too hot but still sunny and warm).

Also, we just went to a fair yesterday. I obsessively checked the weather everyday and on Friday night it said 70% chance of rain. Woke up on Saturday and it was gorgeous. Checked the weather again and there was a 5% chance of rain. No rain all day!

Hoping you have a gorgeous day on Saturday!!

@bmo88:  I feel for ya!  I’m in the same boat. My wedding is in Montana and it seems that our forecast is similar. Our ceremony is also outside. Even though we have a rain plan. I’d rather not have to use it!

i hope we both get great weather on our wedding day!  I know my fiancé has been a big source of reality. Reminding me not to worry and that we are going to have a great day no matter what.  I just wish I could stop obsessively checking the weather report!  But it keeps changing so I have to keep checking! 🙂

youll have a great day no matter what!

Hoping for beautiful weather for both of us on August 10th!! It’s hard when something that important is out of our control!

The weather is less important for our wedding because all the events are indoors. But I still don’t want it to be raining for our photos! I have been calm, checking the forecast once a day for the last week. Except for one day where they were forecasting a “strong afternoon thunderstorm.” Today they are calling for 27 degrees (81 degrees F) and sunny. We’ll see how things over the next week! Good luck!

@bmo88:  I’m super paranoid about this too!  I live in SE Wyoming but the wedding is in central WY, and we definitely have unpredictable / variable weather just like CO.

Does it seem like there have been more afternoon thunderstorms than usual, or am I just paying more attention this summer??

I’ll hope for good weather for you this weekend!!!!

Thunderstorms were forecast for our wedding day..which was outside at a vineyard!! We did have a plan B but it certainly wasnt as nice as plan A….the day before the wedding was horrible. it was dark and raining and so much thunder. Woke up on the wedding day to blue skies and the warmest day we had in months. GL and just remember your day will be amazing regardless.

@bmo88:  I did!!   It went from low 60’s and %60 chance of rain or something to mid 70’s no rain. It rained the ENTIRE day and half before our wedding, but the wedding day was beautiful. Not a clod in the sky. Don’t worry, I’m sure it will be fine!!

We are supposed to be outside; so far the forecast is thundershowers for us.  Fingers crossed that we don’t have to use the Plan B and stay inside.

@bmo88:  I hear ya – I went to a show at Red Rocks a few weeks ago and it almost got canceled because there was such a crazy downpour beforehand – it almost flooded the whole venue and parking lots.

I’ll cross my fingers for you this weekend if you cross yours for me in 2 weekends!  😉
