Got the call! Unfortunatley, rather than losing the 10 pounds I was planning on losing by now, I probably gained 10 (I know, bad me. My diet motto: ‘I’ll start it tommarow’.)The dress fit like a glove when I tried it on, but now with 10 extra pounds, I just don’t think I can do that to myself. The thought of it not zipping up, I think I would die, not to mention the comments my mother would make.
Well, I’m really nervous to pick it up. However, the lady said that they will hold it over the holidays and I don’t have to rush in or anything. I am planning on having an outside tailor do the alterations though, since the bridal shop charges out the wazoo.
Anyone else been in this predicament, where they don’t want to pick up their dress because of weight gain?

@chelles07: You have TONS of time to lose weight though…I wouldnt panic until it actually came time for alterations.

@chelles07: I’m in the same boat as you. I wanted to lose 15lbs and I still haven’t done it yet. You still have a lot of time to lose the weight though! I’m sure you can do it! 🙂

So wait, you had your final fitting and your wedding is in May? Can you alter the dress should something happen between now and then?
Regardless, you have plenty of time to get to where you feel comfy 🙂
Don’t even try it on till you feel better about where you are, its not worth the negativity and fear.

You do have plenty of time to either lose weight or make alterations.
