I think if you have heels that are the same height (assuming no platform or other noticeable difference), you should be just fine. The seamstress may be annoyed if you mention it to her, but really, heels are heels when it comes to a hem on a dress.
I didn't even get my dress hemmed - my shoe height lifted it so that it was good enough and not worth the money to change it by 1/4".

Ah, I feel so incredibly stupid. We traveled 3 hours away this weekend, mostly because I have my first dress fitting. The seamstress told me several times to make sure I brought the exact shoes I'd be wearing, so of course I forgot them! We got in town at 10 pm and my fitting is first thing in the morning...no time to even get new shoes!
I looked up the heel height online and FMIL lent me a pair that's a similar height, but it's probably not exact. I'm not exactly sure what happens at the first fitting, but I've been freaking out that my dress will end up too short or dragging on the floor because I forgot to bring them! Do you think it will make a big difference?
