So when we first got them I was like oooo LOVE IT.. I worse it all day yesterday and all day today and i'm really thinking I don't like it.  Heres what I think...I Love them from the top view, gorgeous. BUT  don't like how they look so "metal-y"  from the side angle. I want them to be more diamond looking from the side. Also, you will notice they are all not the same size. that bothers me.

Am i being crazy?!?!?  Should i wear them the weekend and see what I think, if i still feel this way go back?

Aww - if you look back a few days in the posts, many people don't want to/can't afford to even have a ring! It looks beautiful, you should feel lucky! But you are the only one who has to live with it, so if you really don't like it after awhile, see if you can exchange, return, or buy a new one. Ultimatley it's your choice! It's more-or-less a perminent accessory!

I think it looks fine, but if it really bothers you then you should change it. I would give it a little more time before you make a decision, though!

i just feel like form the side it looks to silvery, when i'd like it to be more sparkly i guess. Typing this i feel like i sound like a ridiculous spoiled brat, but i'm just very particular and want it to be perfect.  Do you notice how the diamonds are not all the same hieght from the side. Is this normal???  anyone else have eternity bands?

And from those pics - I can see what you mean. But how many people get that close to your hand, tilted in just that right angle, that could notice what your upset about?!?!

I think it looks great and not too much metal at all! The sides have some design to them so that really adds to the look and I think would look more metaly is they were just plain

I'm thinking maybe more of what I should have got was a pave setting eternity band like this attachment.  Maybe i'll wear it the weekend and see what happends. I mean from looking straight on i LOVE IT but i feel the side view isn't so great.

I agree with proudpeacock-no one is gonna get that close to your hand to notice.  And just about any pave type of ring is going to look 'silvery' form the side, that's just how the diamonds are set.

I mean, i agree, no one besides me will notice. But thats what matters the most isn't it?   I may be just going through a crazy period right now, very possible.  Maybe I should take it to another jeweler to see what they say before i go back to the store being a crazy bride.

People look down at your hand.  Not straight on.  That first photo you posted is crazy!  No one looks at your hand from that perspective!  No one will see the side of the ring.  If you get the pave band so that there will be diamonds on the side, you are going to sacrifice a lot of the beauty you get with the larger prong set diamonds.  Seems like a big sacrifice to cure something no one will even see.

I think they look great, but I suppose I see what you mean and that wanting more sparkle on the sides would be good.  But, you do have a lovely set and I think that once you get used to it you will start to love it all over again.

@jocelyn- to be honest, i don't care what other ppl say or like it, its me i'm worried about, no one else at all.

am I going to always look at it thinking it looks to metal-ly.  I'm so particular about stuff it bothers me that all the diamonds are different heights. Am i crazy....yeah, i admit it, a lot of the time I can be. But its my wedding band, it should be perfect for me right?   I think i'll give it one more day. If I still don't like it tomorrow I"m ognna bring it to another jewler to ask if the things i'm questioning are legit or crazy :) if they say my concerns are legit....i'm gonna go back and get it changed.

Does anyone else have a eternity band pic??

    @starcharades...yeah i for sure am.

Thanks for calming be down a bit girls.  I am just having one of those days.....

I think your wedding bands are beautiful.  They look fantastic with your E-ring!

I understand that you don't like the setting (the "metal-ey" part) but it is a traditional shared prong setting.  It is the same setting as my wedding band.  We had my wedding band custom made and also experienced the higher/lower diamond in the setting making the diamonds appear a different height or size from the side-view.  We simply took it back to have this fixed and they fixed it for us.  :)  No biggie.

Regarding the micro-pave set bands - would they look cohesive with your E-ring?  I thought these bands really matched the diamond setting in the shoulders of your E-ring.  Just a thought...  Also, I have posted a pic of another shared prong eternity wedding band but it has a "scalloped"/cut out view on the sides.  Just another idea...

Lol honey, you are having a freak out. They are BEAUTIFUL and no one will be looking at your hand from that angle, I promise. If it really still rationally bothers you in a few days, you can change it. It'll be okay.

They are beautiful! No one is ever going to be looking at your finger at the angle in your first pic. You need to like it, though, cause you're going to be wearing it for a long time:-)

MrsK2be@ - Love that scalloped look.  I am going to go to the jeweler tomorrow and see what they can do. Its a private owned store.  Owner is a friend of a friend, so hopefully they will help us out.

Thanks for all your feedback gals!  I have to admit when looking straight on i love it. Its funny cause I had a friend check it out and at first she said she totaly agreed with me then we were talking and she stopped my mid sentence and said she loved it and it sparkles a ton.  I think it has to do with the lighting. I think if I got a different setting I would be happier with it.

    I'll keep you posted tomorrow.

I love the look of the picture you showed us.  Just a warning about the 3 sided pave- I think that if diamonds rub together they can scratch each other- like if you had a 3 sided pave ring, the top diamonds might scratch the diamonds of your engagement ring.  Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but you might want to ask the jeweler about that.  Good luck!

I like the one you have now most. I'm biased though sinced that was the style I really really wanted and almost got but eventually ended up going with mine and SO's being identical. He told me if they weren't identical he's go for a style that I really hated so I gave in to prevent that from happening:)

    It's not too metal-y it's so pretty!

Haha...you remind me of myself so much! Once I get something in my head that isn't quite right, I freak out about it and need to fix it. I think that no matter what, you need to be happy with your wedding bands...I mean, it is one of the only things that you will be wearing everyday for the rest of your life.

I'm not sure that the band with the diamonds on the side will really go with your e-ring, but you will just have to try it on. It would drive me crazy that the bands were different sizes and the diamonds not all the same so I totally understand. See what the jeweler says and keep us posted!!!

I think its fine.  I promise you, yo dont look at your rings from the side.  Ever.  but if it REALLY bothers, you, there are a few options.  I love that scalloped one, mine is a basket type.  Let me grab a photo

I totally understand what you mean bc I don't like "metaly" looking rings at all. That being said, what I love about your bands is how thin they are height-wise. I think that when they are taller, they really draw attention to the metal-look. Because they are so thin, I think that the metal on them will not be noticeable because you'd really have the be at the exact right angle to see that. if you see them from an angle or from above, they are perfect. I think that they are beautiful and you should stick with them.
