So, I ordered my invitations from Peacock Invitations on etsy. Their invites are absolutley divine, and the seller has no bad reviews on etsy.
While, I ordered my invites in November or December, and said that I wanted to SEND THEM OUT by the last week in January.
Guess what? They’re not even here yet.
I am in constant e-mail contact with the gal that is in charge (i’m assuming), but she often doesn’t e-mail me back. She keeps saying they’re at the printers, or on they’re way to/back from the printers, but I am not fully a week behind schedule, plus some more.
I have people in 3 countries I need to send them out to.
My wedding is April 2.
I have no idea when these will be in my possession, if at all.
Can I ask for some money back after I have recieved such horrible service? What should I do now?
If I order invitations from somewhere else, there is no way they will get made in time for me to even send them out.
I am freaking out. In tears at work. I am just waiting and waiting and waiting and have no idea what to do.

Oh man, that’s awful. If she said she could do it by then and hasn’t, i would think you have every right to ask for your money back in full.

I would call her- does she have a contact #? If not, send her an email and let her know your frustration. Not that it will be of any help, but I think you can let Etsy know of her non-follow -through. Sorry you are going through this!!!

once you get them, ask for a partial refund and file a complaint.

@jenniepumpkin: they are in europe, so don’t have a contact number.
another reason i am freaking out. how long does it take to get stuff from half way across the world?

@heatherrobyn: It usually does take a while to get things shipped from across the globe, but if they were done in a timely manner (printed, etc) they should have already been here I would think..
I would say you could try to open a claim with Paypal, but I know they have a time limit on those (I think 45 days..)
I’m so sorry! I’m over here biting my nails nervously for you!
I think anotherbee just went through this not very long ago. I hope you can get it resolved.

Has she given you an ETA on them?
@CorgiTales: when i first gave the money, she guaranteed them by the last week in january which is when i asked for them. she said “we have never missed a deadline in the history of our business.”
ever since they have been late, she has yet to give me an ETA. just excuses.

My wedding is the day after yours and I just sent mine out last week and that was the beginning of the “you should send your invitations out now” timeline. So long as the come in this week, you should be ok. When did they tell you they’d be in?
@lezlers: last week of january!

If I were you I would tell her that if they are not IN YOUR HAND by Friday (not in the mail, not on the way, in your HAND) you are going to get other invitations, dispute the paypal charge, contact the BBB, and write a bad review of her in every forum you can possibly find. Make her guarantee that they will be to you by friday, and if she refuses to guarantee it I’d immediately dispute the charge, write the reviews, contact the BBB, and find other invites ASAP (michaels?).

I think your back up could be an express order from magnet street. you can design an invite in an hour. I am so sorry and hope they come in soooon! Keep us informed
