@wederly:  I’d take monistat and if it didn’t work I’d see a doctor. I’m not a problem by any means, however, and I know taking yeast infection medicine when you don’t need it can be detrimental.

No clue, but usually by day three I notice a major improvement. I’d assume you should see it clear up soon if it is a yeast infection.

Ps… Sorry for weird words and double posts. I’m using a tablet and it’s hating me right now.

I would definitely do the treatment and go see the doctor monday!

You will know by Monday if it was a yeast infection as you will feel 1000% better than you did in the beginning and then you can cancel your appointment if you need too!

I’m not a doctor, BUT, I think if it was your IUD causing an infection somewhere further up inside, you’d be in PAIN, not just itchy. That’s up in your uterus, not in your vagina, and I’m certain an infection there would hurt.

Take the Monistat and if you see no improvement in 3 days or so (or if you start having other, more severe symptoms) see the doctor.

Itchy and discharge sounds like a yeast infection but its tough to tell.  I’m the type that doesn’t go to the doctor until things are super bad, so I can’t tell you about that…but yeast infections clear up fairly quickly with the Monistat.  Just wear your grannie panties, since the cream will sort of leak out onto them.

Oh, and don’t worry about going anon.  Everybody gets yeast infections.

My best friend told me that bathing in apple cidar vinegar is good for yeast infections. Does it hurt when you pee?

I’m fairly certain your vagina is going to fall out.  I’m not a doctor, but I did take biology my freshman year in college….so I’m pretty much a doctor.

But seriously, if you have an infection you’d most likely also have a fever and other symptoms such as pain (as you would with most kinds of infection).  It sounds like a yeast infection but it never hurts to go to the doctor, especially if you’re really concerned!! Hope you’re okay!
