    Hi there-

So this technology-challenged bride to be is attempting to make her own save the dates.  I'm most likely going to keep it simple... create a 5X5 Word doc, print them out, glue them to card stock, and somehow adorn it with ribbons or flowers.  My issue right now is that I'm not able to find a great graphic to place in the STD.  I looked at iStockphoto and while there are lots of possibilities, it's just way to expensive when I'm only wanting 1.  Many of the clip art sites don't have what I'm looking for.  I'm really just looking for some modern/funky looking flowers that I can download and then perhaps play with the colors.  For instance, see the Wedding Avenue icon in the Sponsors bar to the right.  Those 2 roses are something similar to what I'm trying to find... and I'm having no luck!  I'm looking to download something for free or at a very low price.

    Any suggestions?  :)

    Thanks so much!

Look at Powerpoint clip art.  By inserting into Powerpoint, you can right click the image and select "ungroup"  You can make some boring black clip art be any color or shape!  It takes time but I am learning!  From PowerPoint, you can right click, and "Regroup" your image and then copy and paste into Word for printing.   The microsoft website has a lot of flower clip art that you can download for free and then ungroup and edit.

Do you use Photoshop?  There are lots of free "brushes" out there that are essentially just clip art that you "stamp" with the brush. It's an easy way to find/create your own clip art without the cost of buying istock.com images.

Then again.. if you find the perfect graphic for only $5.... I'd buy it and save yourself a lot of time and hassle in creating something new!
