**bump**

How has no one responded to this? I think that’s super generous of you and if you’re still willing, you should post your location so people will know if they can take advantage or not 🙂

Honestly you are better off working for other photographers for cheap or free before taking on a task like that yourself. It will give you an opportunity to see how they work. How the shoot things and how they manage their clients. BOTH are essential to running a good photography business. Good luck!

@little_cricket:  Maybe no one responded because the link was removed, OP didn’t say her location, or this post just got lost in the shuffle. Threads can get buried pretty quickly when a lot of people are posting on other stuff!

If you are comfortable with it, try posting on craigslist or another personal ad website! Make sure you state that you’re a wedding photographer, for people searching for specific wedding vendors, and put pictures you’ve taken on the ad (try not to say that you’ll give pictures on request, just because I think a lot of people don’t want to take the time to email and ask).

People don’t want free pictures, they want good pictures.  I am not saying you are not good, but if you put your work out there and people like it, they will hire you.  That being said, there is a section for you to post this stuff, here is not the place, you can’t advertise here, not even free weddings.

I think most brides are of the opinion you get what you pay for, especially with photos, and as a professional photographer, I agree. You need to work with a professional photographer before going off on your own. It’s one thing to take photos at work or of your friends, but another entirely to take on the responsibility of the most important day of two peoples’ lives. Learn the trade before going in full pelt (even if you’re doing it for free).
