Noel, I don't have any suggestions unfortunately. I'm considering something similar but for the life of me I could not think of what they were called! Thanks so much for posting and now that I know what search term to use, I'll let you know if I come up with anything
I bought mine on sale at Jo Ann Fabrics, for just a few dollars a piece. They are about 4 ft. You can get them at Lowes or Home Depot, but if you are trying to get them for a wedding coming up soon, you need to find them now. They are a seasonal item, and they will be harder to find with all of the fall stuff coming out. You might be able to snag some up off a summer sale for a good price, though.
Wow! This was my biggest issue! I searched and searched and searched for months! I really couldn't find anything I liked. Most free-standing things are more like wreath holders and are too short (like I mentioned). We ended up doing something that I know not everyone can do, but I thought I'd throw it out.
We have a friend who is a welder with the Navy. So my DH went to the steel factory (didn't know you could just walk in a buys stuff. My DH rocks!) and bought steel rods. Our friend then took them on the ship with him one day and bent them and welded them onto a rectagle base. My DH then spray painted them black and they were good to go.
Good luck!

Hey does anyone know where to find shepherd's hooks that are freestanding? I'm having my ceremony inside but would love to line the aisle with pomandors hanging from hooks. I've been able to find a few online, but most of them have been too short (I'd like the hooks to be at least 3.5, preferably 4 ft tall). Let me know if you've had any luck with this!
