We are trying to decide on whether to have the ceremony on a Friday evening (7PM) or Saturday afternoon (4PM). I like the idea of Friday, because we want a romantic, classy, and simple setting. I would also be asking my ladies to either take off or leave work early. Of course I will take off the entire day. We also are planning on holding the ceremony and reception in the same place. What do you think?

For your theme "romantic, classy, simple" I recommend Friday evening.. a Saturday afternoon just doesn't go with those words, IMHO.

    It really depends!

Are all of your guests local? If everyone is local I think it is fine as your guests wouldn't have to take time off work!

If not everyone is local be prepared that some people may not come. I would take the day off for a very close friend/family member - I would probably not take the day off for a distant relative/friend's wedding!

    Good Luck!

Thanks. I was meaning my wedding party taing the day off. I was also thinking that this could help with the guest list also. I only have one person from out of town in my party and she's my sister.
