@megz06:  I know this is just a rant, and that picture made me laugh for sure! lol But as long as she isn’t trying to make YOU use mason jars at YOUR wedding, let her surround herself with mason jars if that’s what makes her happy 🙂

I don’t get the appeal of mason jars either. And no offense to anyone but WHY has barn weddings with mason jars become so popular?? I don’t get the appeal. I’d be worried about the lack of proper air conditioning or my dress getting dirty. I. don’t. understand. it. Lol

@LadyBlackheart:  I second that. Im not a fan of mason jars. Or barns. Or dirt. So, naturally, those are all a no go for my wedding 🙂

I don’t understand them either, especially as a wedding…. ‘theme’?

However, I do use them at home when we have people over for drinks. I’ve broken about 3 full sets of crystal, due to being a klutz, by contrast I’ve only broken 2 mason jars. They’re certainly durable, and rustic compared to our contemporary home.. our friends think its funny, essentially they are my sippy cups.

I don’t get the whole mason jar thing either, but then again I don’t get many of the current wedding related trends. To each their own, but some things just baffle me. I loved the picture you used though 🙂

LMAO.  My sister just recently got engaged and of course, she wants a “rustic, country chic” wedding.  (I do think the barn wedding is really cute and fun!)  But I can already picture the hassle we will have to round up the mason jars for her.

That picture makes my life complete. Thank you for that. I don’t get mason jars either.

I have one very, very large mason jar.  I use it to infuse vodka with fresh pineapple and mint.  Yum.  This reminds me – I can’t wait to get off work so I can get a drink.
